Thanks for the tip im going to try it on a larger plug but the thing that really got me smiling is all the years i have been blowing the dust away and you use the drill fan! that deserves a video of its own😄
Saved my life just now! You're a legend!
You are an expert. A GENIUS. Thank you so much for a life saving tip. I need this tip all the time.
Thank you for sharing this tip. very helpful.
I also learn to blow the hole by using the drill's vent
Thank you 💖
Thank you so much, just fixed my curtain bracket with your idea. Super cool.
Really Helpful video. Thank you for sharing it.
Thank you, this tip saved my life.
This works great, used thinner wire to give myself more adjustment. Thank you!
Did this into drywall with fischer style plugs. The holes were blown out and spinning. I accidentally over drilled them. Used 4 pieces of 14 or 12 gauge wire. Worked perfectly. Thank you.
I would have never thought of this, but it worked perfectly. Thank you!
Nice one thanks. Also pleased to learn to use the drill to blow out the dust- another good tip.
It worked like magic. Thank you! :)
Many thanks for sharing this video. I was struggling with a hole in a brick wall!! Please keep posting, your subscribers will increase with more posts x
You are a life saver, thank you!
Matchsticks or other slivers of wood work great. Basically any softish material.
Brilliant dude!
Genius and a huge help...Thanks so much👌👌👏👏

Great tip. Thanks
This answers my question on your other video on the same subject, I’ll try and get some of those harpoon or plugs. Thanks
THANK YOU SIR! I used an old iPhone cable and it worked perfectly fine 😀
Thanks mate worked like a charm on the first try. Was drilling a hole for my skateboard racks and the holes came out big af and my drill bit snapped 🤦 but yh I instead used *lead solder wire* works like a charm too cuz u can easily work it and cutting it is like cutting butter.
Thank you sooooo much! you rock :). saved my evening!
Many thanks, You saved me !
Does this work for Tapcon and Dewalt concrete fixings?
Thanks very much for the tip about using a piece of wire. I used a bit of wire that's usually used for tying up cables and it worked a treat! I'm definitely gonna remember this in future. I usually hate dealing with rawlplugs but now I feel a lot better haha. Cheers!
U can use anything pretty much, anything that's strong yet can be malleable but doesn't just break if that makes sense.
Perfect …thanks!
Perfect 👌 saved me a headache
Brilliant tip thanks. Like the way you blew the excess dust from the hole with the drill motor!
I use the wind from the drill motor to cool of my body from sweat after working 😂 i dont blow the hole from the dust because the dust will also help little bit when you put wallplug 🤣
Thank you so much, it worked!
thankyou, just drilled a 6mm hole and it was way to tight so I drilled the next size up 8mm way to slack,
Thank you, really
Greeeeeeat video thanks for sharing you got a new subscriber

The copper wire trick is a good idea. Thanks.
No problem 👍

No problem!
Genius
Thank you, it worked!!
Glad it helped!
Love how you blow dust away with the drill
amazing
It might of worked in someone else's house. But nothing works in this bloody house. I feel like going on the drink.
If it's any consolation.. I feel the same. I bought an old property and absolutely fuck all works.
Sell the house or bulldozer
Maybe we should start a support group, I'll drink to that.
Super idea.....good.... thumbs up
Thank you! Cheers!
So the cable did you keep the wire in there?
Grazie
THANK YOU VERY MUCH MUCH APPRECIATED SAVED ME INCREASING SCREW AND PLUG SIZE APPLIED TO INLARGED WHOLE WORKED PERFECT 💯🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Yep we’ve all got old cable hanging around the house !!!!
U dont? 🤣🤣
Well i just used tape wraped it Arround hamerd it in.. it works fine it holds my new tv.
Somebody double-drilled a hole for a curtain tie hook at different angles.. didn't have spare cable to hand but wrapping tape around the plug worked a treat to fill the hole enough to stop it spinning and wearing out the plaster. Cheers for that.
Came looking for this comment. Thanks mate
wire coat hanger is good to
I'll be back... Just about to hang a speaker shelf in my living room. I have a hole that's a little too big. I'll let you know and give it a like if I manage ok lol
Match sticks also work to shim it
What about it wall concrete is weak and fisherstyle plug does not fix properly due to loose hole. Weak concrete. What can be done then?
wall is solid.
Why specifically copper cable? Wouldn't other type of cable/metal that is multi strand work just as well?
Copper is soft and deforms to fill the space. Steel won't work as well.
Works....faffy...but it works....you could easily just split another plug into 4 parts and put them.in around the full plug. Far less faff
basically the toothpick method for wood, but with copper
Hm, I"d say this is ok as a bodge, but it's better to fill the hole and redrill generally, then you get a truly lasting fix
why wouldn't solid core copper work?
It may work but solid copper wire far less malleable compared to stranded copper wire when doing this trick so you would might need to use an impact driver.
That was great enginuity.
Copper wire to the rescue!!
Kaybowwwww
Why not just use a concrete wall anchor
Why not just split another rawl plug in half and place that in there, quicker and easier
Not always enough room
A Hot Glue Pistol is faster:-)
use a bigger plug
Then you need a wider screw
