I've had one of these for over 30 years. It's hands down the most useful power tool in my workshop; it's a gun. It does everything you'd expect and more. Buy good quality belts, that's the only thing I'd recommend. As with all such tools, never get careless and use the full PPE for eyes... and hands if you're working with small workpieces. And be mindful of the cutting direction.
@cubixthe I have just bought my second one of these little multitools The old one is >15 years old no sign of wear. I'm buying a second one because I want a second one. This is a very powerful spring that provides constant tension to the belt. In the video it looks easy to compress because of the mechanical advantage generated by pushing down on the belt. You would have trouble trying to depressing the spring by pushing with your hand on the contact wheel.
Could You let me know if You press on the wheel hard does it loosen the belt ? I mean can this be used for material removal where harder pressure is required or only for light surface work? I've seen the quick belt change on one of these and it seems it requires very low pressure on the belt to loosen it. I would really appreciate Your input ! Thanks.
Just bought my multitool and love it, I had a disk/belt grinder that just died, but if I had known how much better this is I would have told my wife I knocked it off the bench a long time ago lol

Your instructions are quite poor. Also how about putting a new toner cartridge in your printer. As an Aussie I was a little bit embarrassed by this issue on what is a great tool that is well made.

You show the multitool being installed on a 8" Abbot and Ashby but the screws supplied with the kit dont fit the 8" Abbot and Ashby!
