The West Wing is my favourite show of all time. I think I have watched the entire series at least 5 times. I can continue to watch this show over and over again.
I love this series. I watched The West Wing complete series over 4 times and it still hits me with the great dialogue, wonderful actors and solid storyline.
This is what we needed, all of the power speeches in the show. My favorite season is season 2 because it has the longest streak of completely crushing arguments and speeches as well as the taking of crab puffs
The problem is that all of the power speeches resulted not in people getting involved in political activism and effecting change but in posting comments on social media and then clicking over to the next video.

(1) The reality shows are much much much cheaper to produce. (2) Geniuses like A. Sorkin are very rare. (3) American audiences are mostly stupid. Mostly mostly and mire mostly.
The CIC says to the Joint Chief of Staff, "Get him back." "Yes sir." I know it isn't that simple, but that is exactly dialogue that is written and people know that it is so ordered which is what they were waiting for.
The sheer, unmitigated gall to tell the Deputy Communications Director that he can't fire you. Guy had one braincell at that point, and it was focused on pizza.
