    Not too bad. One tiny criticism. I think the bolts holding the frame to the plank seem a bit agricultural. How about a nice socket head or Torx head cap screw for a more elegant look.
    Also, the washers seem to be a bit off center indicating that the hole in the washer was a bit to big for the bolt shaft and it looks a bit off.
    Maybe it's the camera angle.

    Track position: it refers to the cars' position on the track, relative to each other. What also important is the track's position in the world. Otherwise, no one would show up.
    Sometimes track position is key, because on some tracks it's notoriously hard to overtake.
    It's not that cars are stopped on the track. They are going around with their race pace. Track position is a kind of advantage on the current track. Cars behind it can be faster. If they can "fully send it"! Or push the car in front into a mistake.

      You can get smaller aluminium extrusion rigs for similar price, and they will be more rigid, more adjustable, they won't have the centerpost, and they will take roughly the same space. For example Simlab GT1 Evo. This video looks more like an advertisement rather than an objective evaluation of the product.

      @panvlk 3 года назад

      @@F1Elvis As far as I can find, the height of the center post isn't adjustable, just the seat itself. So you could fit your knees in by making the seat more upright, the overall seating position will still be a bit shit though, with wheel too low...
      I wouldn't really call it fully adjustable when it doesn't even match the adjustability scale of entry level rigs, let alone aluminium extrusion rigs (which start at about the same price, take the similar amount of space and beat this one in every other aspect).

      From his seating position it seems like he would have a hard time turning the wheel so close to his knees. Really seems more like an ad than actual review. The rig takes about the same space as smaller aluminium profile rigs (because even after folding up it has the same footprint and it clearly doesn't fold far enough to be storable), it has barely any adjustability, and the big center post for the wheel stand on top of it.

      @@panvlk i researched the "funding" page for this project and I must say i was a bit frustrated because there are rigs that take up the same amount of space tthat are much stronger. also that seat look absolutely pathetic! its like a gym bench angled upright. and i agree, i think its an ad, bit of a shame really coming from marc

    2:36 in and I see the center bar. So thats a dragon den straight no from me. There is no reason for a center bar that doesn't then affect the stability of the right itself. Plus having to have my knees a particular way and have a bar pote tilly to bang against. Nope, def not.

    The fold away feature that he shows on the website is not the same folding feature they have on the production rig, this prevents it from folding away in any sense of usefulness.
    They also state on there website that Logitech pedals fit out of the box, they will fit out of the box but it then becomes impossible to attach the pedal plate back to the rig
    A pretty rig with less flex that anything bar profile? Yes
    A well thought out, designed and executed rig? No
    Tldr this isn’t the rig they crowd funded for, or it is but they removed everything that made it useful or accessible by newer sim racers

    Vocabulary for motorsport newbies: (my edition)
    Unsprung weight. (of the car): carparts that are not supported by the suspension's spring/damper (or its equivalent) side.
    (Thee are a lot of course. They called spare parts. But what counts here are the ones that are assembled onto the car.)
    This must go to the beginning of the vocabulary as a statement:
    Pro tips: when making a description about things, try to explain it in detail which makes sense. The amount of this info can be varied by sheer stupidity. So, descriptions which are less than someone's brain/imagination/IQ can lead to misunderstandings. Although sensible people will ask some more to understand the description.

    • @panvlk
      @panvlk 3 года назад

      Not sure what your rig looks like, but I wouldn't rush with decomissioning it. DIY wooden rigs are often a very good way to get a solid setup that's often better than entry level premade gear. And especially compared to this thing, which doesn't seem either practical, comfortable, adjustable or particularly cheap. Marc supposedly isn't paid for this "review", but the massive praise without acknowledging evident big drawbacks of the rig make the video seem more like an advertisement. You can get extrusion rigs at similar price, and they will be far more practical, adjustable and rigid, while taking up similar amount of space.
