It does not stand up by itself but if you disconnect the handheld from the top of the wand making it the handheld. On the bottom of the dirt bin there is a groove. It cradles itself on a hook that is at the bottom of the wand on the front side by the power head. You can still wrap the cord on the side hooks. I found when in the midst of vacuuming to lean it low on a couch or find a ledge with a chair on an angle so it won't slide down a wall. I used to own this vacuum and might have shown it in the video before. I really really loved this video....you are making me miss mine 😍😍😍😍😗😗😗😗 I hope you love it as much as I did. The filters get dirty super easy because it is so small but it is a beast 😁😁😁😁😁😁❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
