Let me guess, the bassist plays in a Rush tribute too? His style of playing and singing isn't for The Mighty Van Halen. Other than that, this is pretty good. And I'm very difficult to please since I'm a rabid Diamond Dave era VH fanatic.
I’m a career musician and VH fan from their first album release. Actually even before that, as a cousin in LA often saw them before they got signed, and sent me a bootleg tape I REALLY wanted to enjoy this, but whoever was screaming, talking, making weird noises, and singing BADLY totally ruined it … what a selfish asshole
This would be an even better live testament of how good they are if the sound guy had mixed Roths vocals and Eddies guitar a little louder and at a more consistent level. , Cos theyre muffled and too soft in several places here. Roths loud clear singing is what made a Van Halen show special and if you cant hear Eddie then youre missing out Big Time.!!!
The drummer needs to go back and learn the correct timing and accents and stop right before the lyrics start in Hot for Teacher. Drummer- SLOW DOWN. Take a breath and relax. You are losing the groove and overplaying.
