    • @generay6807

      Man I thought the same thing. I’m a lefty and I couldn’t do it

    • @Beefnhammer
      @Beefnhammer 2 года назад +3

      Fortunately, it probably wasn't too bad for him. That kit had a pretty similar basic layout to the kits he used in DT, and most of his other post-DT prog-rock groups. But if YYNOT's drummer had been using a 1 to 1 imitation of Neil's setup, that probably would have tripped him up a lot more. Neil's layout from 1995 onward was a bit unorthodox.

    • @Beefnhammer
      @Beefnhammer 2 года назад +2

      @@generay6807 That has to be such a pain in the ass for lefty's, especially for gigging players who have to use house kits a lot. I'd imagine learning to play open-handed is a necessity.

    • @generay6807
      @generay6807 2 года назад +1

      I was just thinking that I'd have liked to hear it with the bass volume upped 10% and the guitar 20%, maybe more. Seemed a bit tame, and that had nothing to do with how it was being played. Having wished for a bit more aggressive sound before, I gotta say especially the singer made it really come to life.

    Always said....only a female can do classic Rush. She nails it. Portnoy is Portnoy. He says Neil is #1 than he is #2 imo. DT fan since 89🤘🏻

      Agree on both counts
      Also helps for vocalist to focus on singing. Hard for Ged to do both, plus keyboards.
      These performances are spectacular. Love the diction on "fill the hallowed ha-alls"
      And of course having that natural range. Still she lets it morph into a scream at the upper register
      A joy to see MP, also my nominee to take NP's spot if there is ever another tour (doubt it), but yynot drummer is also fantastic
