As a person who started with season 2 I really hope we can keep this going so the Mighty nein can get animated as well. I'm still watching season 1 while waiting for Thursdays but man this is so awesome
Watching this 4 years later, knowing what I do now, is incredibly gratifying. They totally blew me away with the show!
New prize. Random backer is selected to be a guest character in the Mighty Nein Campaign.
Travis: 5.7 mil stretch goal which is NUTS!
Critters: That is frankly, A paultry sum.
Don't act so surprised, guys. After all, you reap what you sow; this is just the community giving something back after three years of nerdy fun and great storytelling.
Travis :We want an animated series and....
SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!
6.5 mil atm and counting upwards with 41 days still time
I was watching the Kickstarter, finished this video, looked up and it jumped from 6.02mil to 6.06mill in a few minutes, what the h e c c
What the actual fuck
I love this, this is insane
You guys gave us unforgettable legendary adventure....critters are united and gives back!
Fear the critters, 😂
"OUR NAME IS LEGION"
I'm surprised that the Kickstarter site is still up. No hug of death yet. We are not trying hard enough lol
something something sometimes life is stranger than fiction
But seriously Matt, please get sleep, you'll be happier and healthier for it. Take care!
He keeps seeing all the lore bits he needs to go over in his sleep and it stretches out to infinity
It's crazy watching this now, knowing what we know and having what we have
Next stretchgoal - get matthew mcconaughey to voice the Sun Tree
Why do I get the feeling that Matt's chair is like the Captain's Chair on Star Trek?
Like, literally, Matt has a sixth sense about his chair, and thinks, "I must go...I feel as if someone is sitting in MY chair..."
And then...BOOM. Finds out it's Travis, lol.
The next: The Story of Kevdak!
Considering how long this Kickstarter is going to be open and the fact that they are hanging an animated Briarwood arc over our heads like a carrot on a string, I do believe that we will get the full arc animated
I really hope they release "the first episode" and it's just something Sam drew and "animated" himself.
I started playing D&D because of these guys... we now play every Sunday among 8 or 9 of us... and it's been amazing. Thanks Critical Role!!!
You guys do realize that at this rate there’s gonna be enough money to animated the entire first campaign AND the might Nein campaign, right?
I’m sorry I missed this Kickstarter, I would love to have participated in the “Break Matt Mercer Again” campaign
Gods, yes. I loved the Briarwood ark so much. Can't wait for the cartoon!
I had completely forgotten Scanbo could be animated. I need it. I need it in my life right now
I'm not a tabletop gamer. Tried, didn't liked it, but those folks are a pure joy to watch. Seriously. I'm so happy to find them.
I just finished a Ttrpg, I am curious, would you mind telling us what you disliked? Also welcome to Critical Role:)
@@TPBurrow Hard to tell. Couldn't immerse myself into it. I was the one guy in the team with zero experience and knowledge about any of it. Thrown into deep end, so my anxiety kicked in and it went bad. Soon after that we split and I've never seen them again.
@@ShingenNolaan Thanks for sharing, sorry you had that as a first experience. Immersion and engagement can take between 4 and 8 sessions in my experience, A good GM tho will give you a 1v1 before the game, and make sure your backstory is merged with the world you will play in, and they should be open to feedback to help mould the story you want to experience.
Game group dynamics can easily shift a game from a happy to unhappy experience, I urge you to keep looking for another group or GM. I wish I could help but I have no availability for players at the moment.
Any time they talk about what they are going to show from the Briarwood arc the 2 things I think of are
1. The bodies in the sun tree.
2. Triceratops! Triceratops!! Triceratops!!!
I really hope they will make an episode for the mighty nein too
I feel awful cause they seem so stressed but i am so hype because no matter what they have in store it's going to be truly amazing. Don't you worry Matthew and crew, we're already so invested in the incredible story and storytelling that a little extra animation and voice acting will give us thousands of hours of enjoyment! Thank you for giving so much time, we're just giving in return!
CR: we want 750,000 dollars to make some stuff to show that we love you all
Fans: NO FUCK YOU, HAVE 11,385,449 DOLLARS SO WE CAN SHOW *YOU* HOW MUCH WE LOVE YOU ALL
Love you too ❤
Critical role: here a one of a kind animated special
Critters kicks down door : give us a series NOW
Anyone else hype for “you’re on the bottom of my list”?
Little did they know they’d reach $11M, for we are legion, and we are many!
Take off the mask darling
That NEEDS to be there
Fucking goosebumps dude
This popped up in my recomended, andholy fuuuccckkkk has the show delivered.
When you watch them get excited about 6 episodes... 2 years later after the Amazon deal gave them 2 full seasons. Hahaha
If they don't animate Scanlan turning into a triceratops and rampaging through a vampire house on fire...
Getting to voice over the character you created from the ground up is like full circle😂
This is even better for me since I never had enough time to watch Campaign 1, I get a little morsel of it AND beautiful animation to boot!
Life needs Sleep.. to live.... lol love the chaos that’s happening!!!! Critters are rolling mad 20s!!! MAD 20s!!
I'm still in the process of catching up on Vox Machina's adventures. But I'm SO looking forward to this!!! I went crazy with excitement watching the launch video and still do every time I watch the trailer!! Y'all are amazing!!!! I'm always happy to see/hear my nerdy best-friends
It brings me no end of joy that Amazon funded an *ADDITIONAL* 14 episodes.
seeing the facsimiles of VM swinging from the sun tree will obliterate me
I wanna donate so bad, unfortunate ly as a student. I dont have much money.
*Cries in dwarvin*
I am student as well and i donated 1$ its not much but i wanna support them :)
you can help by spreading the word. I know the feeling of having next to no money. I was a student myself... back in the 1800s :)
@@drefk1973 goddamn elves, flexing with their long life
They blew past their goals so quick that i feel they are going to get money for that arc by the end of the month anyway. Honestly i'd rather buy some merch instead. After years of free entertainment i feel like i owe them at least that much.
Right there with you. I can't donate much, but even if it's just a single dollar, I am happy to give it, and to help, and be a part of this crazy adventure we are all on together.
Not only is the storytelling phenomenal, but the entire critical roll cast is filled with phenomenal people. I thoroughly enjoy watching you all and the joy you bring is indescribable. Thanks guys!
I approve of this change SO HARD!
This crowdfunding has proven the want for a D&D animated TV show. If a network or studio doesn't at least offer to pick this show up, they're actually insane.
It's kinda sad they have to skip over the the stuff with Tiberius but it really got good after he left anyway
45 days to raise $750k?
Lulz knocked that the fuck out in 4 hrs.
Almost $6 million in 5 days.
I want a fully animated series covering the entirety of the first campaign and at this rate its sure to become a reality.
Gods speed Vox Machina and beware for mayhaps the God of Secrets awaits you, upon the silver screen.
So at this point are we just get the first campaign? *Lean into the screen and into CR Studio* I AM FINE WITH THIS
And now we can enjoy it all we made this happen guys and I hope we're all proud of that.
So this was the real world equivalent of shut up and take my money?😅
Yeah, Pretty much, it was surreal to watch the total just climb and climb.
Please, don't forget to take care of yourselves, Matt please relax a bit, we want to see what happens but we also care about your well being too.
Looking forward to season 1 of the critical role anime
Sweet I’m just at the briarwood arc listening to the podcast version
