Good stuff! We need more experienced folk in the industry to pump out videos like this, not just sponsored/manufacturer produced videos that are more marketing than informational/tutorial. Nice build, I may do a build that is a near carbon copy of this setup for our broadcast kit.
Chuck Poe thanks for that Chuck! I am not opposed to being sponsored! But it’s not my goal. Their wired talkback boxes would be a great companion to the 348 for a more traditional booth setup. I have a booth of them and they work flawlessly.
Audio guy makes video, forgets to turn down the little speaker, blows up his listeners brains with repeated feedback 😁.. in all seriousness though this is a super cool concept and definitely helpful in this time of hybrid-live events!
I watched the video again when I read your comment this morning. OMG, I am so embarrassed! (But the funny thing is, the engineer in me said: “yeah but they could tell when I was talking in talkback”!)
Can you show the Dante Controller routing? I have a 348 and I am a bit confused on the IFB function. Does the 348 CH.1 (for instance) route directly to the transmitter Ch.1 so the 348 interrupts the program (IFB 1 in on the 348)? I assume you are not going back thru the mixer after the 348.
Rick Cutler hey man, I don’t have the configuration loaded or saved any more to easily show this. I can try and explain, but if it doesn’t make sense then find my number in the KP32 videos and give me a call. The 348 is capable of 8 IFB’s, each with their own program feed. You want to patch your IFB mix from the mixer to the IFB Input #x. Then you designate the button as an IFB in the config software. Then patch the dante transmitter to your listen destination (whatever that may be; talkback box, AVIO, Speaker, Anything.). You should hear the program pass “thru” until you touch that button. Then you will hear the headset mic. Make sense?

Definitely helpful, for sure an excellent video. But I have so many questions lol!
Thanks for explaining your setup - good stuff!

How about another video mapping out your wiring please. Sent the 348 a Dante box? Just curious o how you have wired this up.
Videditor1067 I can do this. Thanks for the suggestion. I need to figure out how to record my iPad screen directly.

you should never give another demo ever again
I’m sorry you didn’t like it. Hopefully you did get some little nugget out of it. If I was to start taking guests would
You like to come on?
