Okay they found the first tear, which means that I have that to look forward too watching this series; Also am I the only one who thinks the flashback stuff was great? I'd seen people say the story isn't good, but I really liked it
I hadn't seen that criticism of TotK, but I saw it a lot with BotW and I think a lot of it boiled down to the fact that, due to the design philosophy of the game (absolute freedom, do anything in any order or skip it entirely), the story had to be presented in a much more passive way. The story is something that already happened, and our tie to it as the player is in the aftermath of that story, so the player feels less involved in the story and it comes off as a bad story. TotK has the same setup for how it gets its story across, so I could see the same criticism for it. Its not a bad story, just one that the player doesn't have much influence on.
An Italian friend told me "Dan is calm, and has this soft voice, and then Arin begins to shout, immediamento, right to here EEEEEE, non mi piace, he stress me" and I was like "Yeah, you've picked up on that, eh, that's their comedic style" And I laughed for hours about it last night
we all know our Video Game Boy isn't gonna figure it out, at least not for a while. Pretty sure he already forgot that he has abilities other than ultrahand.
"Moo-ring" or rather pronounced 'more-ing' refers to tying a vehicle to a post or securing it to keep it from drifting away or being moved from its position or the like, it's not quite like anchoring something as if you were to use an anchor to keep the vehicle in relative place but more so you're done using the vehicle for the time being and are keeping it secured for lighter use, one would moor their boat to a dock once they're done fishing or in this example moor the balloon to keep it from getting caught by the wind and lifted away unceremoniously
I can't wait to see more of this Queen Sonia character, they must really delve deep into her character and personality, as well as her important role in the story.

I know that talking and playing makes processing some of the stuff harder, but the minute I learned fuse I never left a weapon unfused. How has he totally neglected it! 🤦♂️
Eventually. It took me a while to remember to use it too. That's ADHD for you. Hes too focused on what abilities he knows and is comfortable using (from BotW) to think about the new ones he was given.
Not that bad of an idea. Hell, I’d sooner think to use ultra hand to take it’s arms away than to use recall to send its boulders back, yet you can do that
@@galonski64 Yeah, Recall is a game changer against Talus's, and that's a sneaky one too. It didn't even cross my mind until I was at least 3/4s through the whole game (even with using it to send back rocks and boulders thrown by other enemies)

I mean, it is above average by Zelda standards, but it's still a pretty simple story. It's definitely not bad though.
They did pretty good with it
Anybody saying the story in this game isn't good has a messed up idea of what good means.
Tears's story is WAY better paced than Breath's
An Italian friend told me "Dan is calm, and has this soft voice, and then Arin begins to shout, immediamento, right to here EEEEEE, non mi piace, he stress me" and I was like "Yeah, you've picked up on that, eh, that's their comedic style"
And I laughed for hours about it last night
Really hoping Arin figures out how important weapon fusing is. He's really kneecapping himself with this.
we all know our Video Game Boy isn't gonna figure it out, at least not for a while. Pretty sure he already forgot that he has abilities other than ultrahand.
I keep popping in to see if they're on the second session yet where hopefully someone has told them how to use the basic functions of the game
Don’t worry he’ll get a thousand emails telling him what to do
"I didn't know I could fuse weapons because this fucking game didn't tell me"
Based on what he said about the paraglider, I'd say he wants to kneecap himself.
You can really get behind her character
Think we'll get her an Raru as Amiibo's? Im sure we will get the new champions as ones. Aww man and i want a Gleelock Amiibo too.. thatd be rad (but big, and expensive, but really fun).
@@spacesquid95force25😭
@@spacesquid95force25It may take some back breaking work to find all of the geoglyphs
When Danny was singing Bird Plane, I couldn't help but hear laughter in the background, thinking that was Impa laughing at Arin.
Dan sassing Arin as Arin struggles against Battle Talus is why we watch Grumps
Thanks Game Grumps and team for making these episodes so long. They're so much fun to watch
I second this!
Do you think Arin will ever use the fuse ability to make stronger weapons?
Maybe by episode 50 he will do it once and forget right away
I know that talking and playing makes processing some of the stuff harder, but the minute I learned fuse I never left a weapon unfused. How has he totally neglected it! 🤦♂️
Eventually. It took me a while to remember to use it too. That's ADHD for you. Hes too focused on what abilities he knows and is comfortable using (from BotW) to think about the new ones he was given.
No, but at around episode 20 we'll get a long rant about how weapons are too weak and break too quickly.
I give it… 6 more episodes. 😅
Arin completely blinding instructions in games is usually endearing but he’s doing it so often in this game he’s giving me the panics.
He actually tried to use Ultrahand against the Talus when he has Ascend. Well, they do say pain is the greatest teacher. Poor guy.
It’s not that crazy of an idea. Flux constructs can be messed with using Ultrahand, which never even occurred to me
Not that bad of an idea. Hell, I’d sooner think to use ultra hand to take it’s arms away than to use recall to send its boulders back, yet you can do that
Rewind work nicely on a stone talus and accend or climbing it too
@@galonski64 Yeah, Recall is a game changer against Talus's, and that's a sneaky one too. It didn't even cross my mind until I was at least 3/4s through the whole game (even with using it to send back rocks and boulders thrown by other enemies)
... 200 hrs in and I never used Ascend on the battle talus, just hit them with bomb arrows and created updrafts... worked well enough i never even thought to use my powers
“I just need to find a means of transportation that’s not me running”
3 horses literally in frame
The rest of this series will consist of Arin running around in circles in the forgotten temple, running into an outcropping that can't be surmounted without using ascend, then turning around and going to the opposite side of the temple, all the while finding new ways to talk about poop.
Dan is totally going to make the “end of Twilight Princess when Midna reveals her true form” noise when he sees Sonia, isn’t he?
You mean Mineru?
They've already seen Sonia?

"Let's go to the bathroom together!" -Sentences I didn't expect to hear today on Game Grumps but probably should have
Time stamp?
I love seeing them having fun in a Zelda game again! I’m glad they started the dragon tear quest right away too, they’ll have such a good time with it!
Arin getting rid of his horse to then ask if he can ride a goat is what I expect at this point.
i just had to pause the video in astonishment when i realized neither arin or dan(the dude who always is reading a book) knows that the term steel yourself is synonymous with brace yourself. and granted it probably came from the act of putting armor to literally get ready for combat but still man.
Arin: *drops weapon instead of fusing it to another weapon*
this is going to be a looooong series
If it's going to be this incompetent then I'd rather just have them stop.
@@megatom5 it kinda ruins the game for me in a way. Watching JackSepticEye do well on his limited series. Then watching Zelda pros do it. Now Arin… oof. But then again having Dan’s commentary is gold!!
I'm amazed that he remembered fusion can be used on arrows, yet hasn't attempted it at all with weapons.
@@megatom5I mean you yourself can stop watching
@@megatom5Game Grumps is for the commentary not the gameplay. The joy is in these two just fucking around having a fun time, if you want a serious playthrough there are 1 mil of them around on youtube

9:20 "Dan to arin "you're starting to get the hang of it..._
9:26"Dan goddamn....I literally died laughing
6 years ago, Grumps played Gay Brothers: Fuck of the Anthony, and now they follow up with GB: Tits of the Lego.
Amazing.

37:32 Disappointing that the spiral beach in Akkala wasn't where the geoglyph of the teardrop (Zoras' Domain) should be.
41:49 "... That's when I go to town." Me: "Toilet Town."
I love how Link somehow gets completely soaked by the dragon tear every time.
Dragon girl bath water 😂
So many times I’m just yelling “ASCEND, Arin, ASCEND!!!” 😂😂 Could’ve titled it “Arin forgets Ascend”. I am excited for the next episode.
I knew they'd think she's a total babe. Truly men of culture.
I want to see the scene when Zelda’s goat instincts kick in since Raaru is her ancestor
9:05 seeing Link just completely disappear from the screen really got me
What?
What? X2
Edit: I think he meant 9:25
For once, Dan is the insane one. Who in the world touched ANYTHING they don’t have to in a public restroom 😱
Dan was insane, trying to go toilet facts against Arin.
One's good once a week, other is three-a-day on the regs.
But, I also always see/use a brush in a public toilet...
If everyone cleaned up after themselves, there wouldn't be a problem with touching things in the bathroom. Also, you can wash your hands after touching things; you should be washing your hands anyways.
@@hrodga
1) Sadly, people don't wash their hands for some reason, so it's hard to even trust touching a single door handle once you see how nasty everyone is. 🤢
2) I would rather use a bit of toilet paper to grab things in the bathroom or sit on the seat. Whether I wash or not, I wouldn't dive my hand into a pile of crap. This is no different.
3) I have never seen a toilet brush in a public bathroom ever. If I did, it'd be so much better than trying to toss tissue into the bowl hoping it wipes it off the side as it flushes.
Touching a public toilet brush on purpose is something only a true, honest-to-God maniac would do.
Can’t wait for Arin to figure out recall on the falling out rocks 😂
Don’t hold your breath
tbh i didn't realize i could do that to get up higher until i saw someone else do that
The problem with Arin in this play through is that he is an AMAZING problem solver.... he just forgets literally all the problem solving tools available to him.
I love Arin confidently screaming that he would notice if he visited a public bathroom with a toilet brush left in one of the stalls as if the man doesn't have ADHD.
Like sir do you even remember what you had for breakfast this morning
Didn’t know ADHD caused amnesia and poor awareness of one’s surroundings
@@cajunking5987 Speaking as someone with ADHD, it definitely does lol
38:58 Danny. The brush is for the cleaning staff. Not for you.
If you aren't counting goo time link is actually 23 as link was 17 in BOTW and TOTK takes place roughly 6 years after.
With Arin on the toilet brushes. What is Danny talking about? In STALLS?
Agreed. wtf is he talking about? Maybe in one in ten. At BEST.
Danny went to Europe ONE TIME and thinks all bathrooms have toilet brushes like they’re in a house
I've definitely seen them in some places that have like 1 bathroom but I have definitely seen them
Americans... *Sigh*
Allover everywhere in Canada.
Im pretty sure US is the rare case where they dont have it being a common thing.
@happyplum2822 in restraints... you mean the places in question??????
No one was talking about pit stops, and fast food joints. Nothing like that at all.
Atleast get on the same page as class before you try spoiling the book.
Some lil kid at the Grrump show left his dino lego and tunes in to find Dan took it on a honeymoon across Europe.
I just drove for almost 8 hours and listened to the first 6 episodes. Glad I waited to start this GG play-through
I'm with Arin on the poop brush thing i don't think i've ever seen one 😅
I really hope they choose to head to the Rito first, the abilities you get there are pretty much just quality of life upgrades that Arin would definitely appreciate
Don’t jinx him! Lol
idk, he was just complaining about the existence of the paraglider in an earlier episode
The fact they nailed the Link being 25ish thing is awesome. At least thats the number I keep hearing.
For whoever needs to know, you can ascend up the Battle Talus but unless you can do lots of damage you're better off shooting it with bomb arrows
also for those who need to know, you can use Recall when it throws it's arms at you to make them slam back into it so it'll fall down.
Just make a few hammers and you’ll be good
Very early game ascending into them is very tricky, since they can squish you and KO you while you’re trying to get lined up to actually ascend, but once you’ve got some hearts it’s really worthwhile to have a good hammer and go for it
"A-scend UP!" like the singer of the local reggae group likes to shout, yo.
For you who obviously doesn’t know, just use a hammer or smasher type weapon. They do extra damage on ore, and it’s much cheaper than Bomb Flowers.
I can't believe Arin already forgot he HAS to fuse things to the weapons, gonna be pretty impressed if he decides to do full playthrough without fusing
Then in ten episodes, he'll complain about how fast weapons break and everything is so weak.
Arin is like a mom, you say something funny to him expecting him to laugh and it be over, but instead he turns it into a lecture
Except instead of a lesson about good behaviour, it’s his own stupid opinion.
This cannot possibly be about something as unserious as the toilet brush conversation
@@zemessai eh it’s more an example of what he tends to do with more “serious” conversations like game design and such
Him saying no restaurants have toilet brushes is so weird, does he only go to mcdonalds?
@@mirkecWii The Legends say that Taco Bell has their toilets sent off to be buried at sea and just has new ones brought in and installed every week.
I have literally never seen a toilet brush in any public restroom ever. Also, Dan, you should only use a toilet brush when you've applied a cleaning agent so that that those renegade poop flakes don't become worse renegade poop flakes stuck to the toilet brush.
THANK YOU. I kept scrolling to find someone that pointed out that cleaning a toilet with only a brush merely spreads around the particles AND makes the brush extremely unsanitary especially as it sits there after each time someone supposedly does that. If there are toilet brushes, it's for the staff to clean the toilets because they don't have somewhere else to keep them.
Yeah. I don't know what Dan is on here. There are brushes next to toilets in people's houses, but there are no toilet brushes in public restrooms. They're in the janitor's closet.
the toilet conversation as Link is just climbing walls is hilarious lol this is why we watch 💀💀🤣🤣 Forgot how to use ascend to climb AND how to make weapons stronger with fuse lol
Things Arin misses... The main story line, toilet brushes in bathrooms, and the very basic abilities Tears of the Kingdom.
Immediately when I thought, "this is hard to watch", Dan says it lol
21:35 Anchoring or tethering, usually referring to ships, but a balloon works as well.
25:54 He was 117 in Breath of the Wild so 122 at the youngest 125 at the oldest in Tears of the Kingdom.
30:23 The plural of Lego is Lego not Legos.
I already know Arin forgot about the Ascend and Fuse abilities XD
Looking forward to him raging how weak he is.
“How come every weapon does shit damage all the enemies are fucking beefed up and all I have is a rotten sword??”

I'm with Arin on the toilet brush controversy. I've seen more stalls without brushes than with.
