I have been a boost lover since I bought the first ultra boost before the hype but I made the switch over to the bounce and I love it! Only gripe is the toe box dead space.
The best running shoe channel is back! Love to see it. I hope you don't change up your formula too much, because you already have the most intelligent presentation that I could find on RUclips. Also I'm going to miss the Russian voice if he's gone for too long.
I think both are excellent. The average viewer is probably more comfortable with the new voice, but I guess I like the Russian guy a bit more. Maybe it's a result of the writing, his way of speaking, just talking a bit more slowly, or not being perfectly fluent, but it forces my brain to be more alert and not miss anything. Your videos are dense with useful information, judgements, and reasoning, but a lot of details can be missed with passive listening. Since I'm getting into nitpick critique... Glancing back at an old video for a quick comparison I noticed this video's transitions have a blur effect, overshoot and springiness which makes them harder to read and take over twice as long. Of course this is not an interactive UI, just a video, so it's really minor, but I would want to at least remove most of the springiness. I think snappy transitions are better. 0:36 I love that you start with "based on the materials alone... the shoes are worth the extra money", but it's a bit hard for the viewer to agree with this statement based on a whole bunch of brand-specific technology jargon. This would be the perfect place say something like "we explained these technologies in this video..." and link to a brand technology section from one of your lineup videos. Oh, maybe you don't have one for Adidas yet? Maybe then "look forward for our Adidas lineup video where we will go over these technologies" haha, that would be exciting! Currency in the US is written like "$11.4" instead of "11,4 $" The writing in this video is excellent, but the conclusions have a few strange lines. Why did you add 2 extra points for weight at the end instead of listing that on the chart? You could have justified it with a line about why weight matters. By adding the points right at the end it sounds like you're forcing the math to match the narrative. Hopefully we all already understand diminishing returns and how premium products can still be worth it or not worth it regardless of the "$ per P" math. I think $ per P is more useful when you are comparing many options on a graph. And if the "$ per P" math isn't so useful here, then the 2nd conclusion you give isn't merely rhetorical, but instead the important one. There's so much back and forth contrasting and double negatives leading into the 2nd conclusion it's a bit hard to follow on first listen, but it is clear in the following lines what you mean, so perhaps this is a non-issue. As I said before these are minor nitpicks. I'm not asking anything to be changed, and you're doing a great job as-is. Cheers!
@@RUNFAQ I love the rusky voice, it gives a character to this channel. But the new voice is fine too. Still the best running shoes channel on youtube 🙌
MY favourites are the ones that combine boost and bounce the correct way, just as Niike combines Zoomx and React. great shoes and give great comfort and stability, with great energy return.
would an ultra bounce work for treadmill walks? I have a asics gel cumulus 23 and the bottom of my feet always hurt, especially at the ball of the foot
Отличный обзор. Я много лет бегал в Ультрабустах, и вот сейчас выбираю между Ультрабуст Лайт и Ультрабуст 5 (5х) Не планируете ли вы сделать обзор сравнение?
One week later, i can safely say that getting those is one of the worst decisions that i have ever made as a long distance runner. They're simply too bulky & stiff, i'm not sure why they even have the word "Bounce" in them as there's nothing bouncy about them at all! If Adidas want to avoid any lawsuits, they better change the name of the shoe..OR not market them as running shoes.. i've since gone back to my old Ultraboost 4.0 DNAs after giving them a good scrub; i'll be holding on to those a bit more. it's not all lost though while they're not good running shoes, they're good for walking and every day wear, so i'll be using them as my "daily driver"
Having 2 pairs of running shoes is important. Should you break bank and go for 190×2 or mix and match 190&80 or go for 80x2, maybe 80x3 and forego expensive shoes? Ultimately, unless pocket allows, going for only 1 pair of 190 shoe is not ideal coz you are stuck if that's your only pair of running shoe😮
This assumes that you have a standard width foot and let's be honest, the running shoe industry does not cater to the wide and extra wide foot runner or gym goer. In addition, Adidas Ultraboost are ridiculously narrow and do not come in a wide or extra wide width, whereas the Ultrabounce does. Sure there are companies that do have models which cater to wide and extra wide feet, but what they consider to be wide/extra wide sometimes is an absolute joke. So what do those runners or gym goers have?
I also have big and wide foot for my height that's why ultraboost is perfect not only for running.. I used it in my daily activity or in work when I need to dress down a little.. it's worth every penny ❤️
Thanks for the insightful video. I'm curious how the X_PLR Boost compares to the Ultraboost 22 and Ultraboost Lite for lifestyle use, particularly for lots of walking. They're all around 50% off at my local Adidas outlet in Canada and I'm considering getting a pair but am unsure which one to choose. Any advice?
Why does Adidas use bounce foam in all their tennis shoes if its less confort, less reactive and less durable than ultra boost? Looking at the adidas barricade and ubersonic 4.1 vs the ultra boost light for tennis.
My rule of thumb is, stay away from anything cheaper than 120 USD, unless its on sale, then yes, but anything with regular price of less than 120USD, is usually old technology, or just average heavy boring with no energy return. maybe good for just basic walking to the store shoes. but if you want something fun, with bouncey cloud feel, and super comfortable, go as close to 200 USD as you can afford. But know what you are buying, price is just 1 consideration, also type of shoe, and its purpose. some are stability shoes, anti pronation etc... so do your homework first.
Yes, i used to buy shoes cheaper than usd100 and I just ran around the block near my house. After I decided to spend around usd200 on a pair, I have been running so well, i have been selected to compete in the Paris Olympics. Wow, it really made more difference than I expected. If you can, spend usd300. We shall meet at the podium at the Paris Olympics!!
Welcome back! Looking forward to some new lineup videos!

It would had more sense comparing pureboost vs ultraboost
Pureboost is not that cheap 😅
@@RUNFAQ hm discounted yes even cheaper specially if it is previous year and still cost half the price of UB

So fair opinion!
how to you calculate price per points? why 80 usd to 8 points is 11,4?

It is stable! Tennis is about lateral movement.
@@RUNFAQ so ultaboost no good for tennis?
Upper is extremely bad. Midsole not guarantee enough stability during lateral movements. Yep, not made for tennis
If you didn't try boost thab bounce wouldn't be so bad 😅
