With your train station/bus transfer design the people not only have a lon way to walk but they have to cross the street as well. This slows both the busses and pedestrians. This is particularly evidenced at tye Bigglesthwaite station you put in. @@tootzmcgee7144 The city I live in irl will do passenger runs with old steam trains during the summer. Of course, with that the purpose is to let you see and experience old trains, not an oversight like in this game.
I find it strange you put so much emphasis on tractive effort. Tractive effort is the amount of weight a train can pull from a dead stop, and only applies to about the first 10kph of acceleration. Useful for super heavy freight trains*, getting above 10kph on a steep incline, or a service that stops and starts very frequently. After the first 10kph it's all about engine power for getting up to top speed as fast as possible--the biggest factor for passenger profits in this game's model. *The way vanilla is balanced, cargo is far far too light, and power quite literally always trumps TE as a stat even for freight trains. Play with the 5x cargo weight mod and you'll notice a difference between freight and passenger engines on a heavy train.

Once this series is done, I would love to see a walkthrough of Skylines!! Would be a pleasure to see that came from your eyes. :) Loving this series so much.
After watching your first episode of the series, I just got this urge to play the game again. Yesterday, without realizing, I played for more than 6 hours on one sitting and I didn't even feel the time passing, who knew I needed a transport fever fix, haha. Btw, something, you may want to check in the future, is how to enable the different industries to become available for purchase. Sure, it could make the game easier, but it will allow you to go above and beyond when it comes to dedicating yourself to town growth and progress.
As someone that works in industry i wish you would use Multiple Unit (MU) trains as the were designed. They are called MUs as they can be run together in a consist or as a a "unit". Technically each train can operate independently but in practice placed together in a consist. It allows longer trains without changing the performance of the train. Ik its a game but if you go with locos you could also run two to get mire power. Ik its a game but would be more realistic.
Is it realistic to run 2 locomotives? Would that be 1 on each end or 2 at the front? I might do that in my game. In the steam era sometimes there’s just not enough tractive effort available.
@@beastateverythin i know it's a year later, but there are trains with 2 locomotives in the front or one in the back and one in the front. i don't know when they get configured like that though
Why do you have one lone per each city connection instead of a line with multiple passenger stops? Is that just personal preference or is their a game machanic that makes it beneficial. I imagine doing it that way makes sure all the trains are full because some connections are more popular and if you had a line with multiple stops some sections would be full and others would be empty.
Seeing as you are calling this a "hard mode" playthrough, it would be interesting to see you impose extra rules on yourself like; only using 1 train depot for the whole map.
It is "hard mode" but with a ton of mods to make it easier, some by easing the vanilla balance such as the food supply chains. Also, with lots of industries and cities, so the mean transport distance is short and cheap. Tons of $ wasted on terminals with unnecessarily inefficient storage space. It is not trully hard, but "Squirrel hard". Still, fun to watch
