This video shows an excellent explanation of how the early Thunderbird sequential system works. Thank you for posting it! However, there are several errors in the turn signal diagram (1:25). 1: The turn signal indicator relay diagram is incorrect - the input of the relay coil is actually connected to the 458 wire instead of the 694 wire as shown. The current flows through the coil and out the 459 wire back to the sequential motor and lights. It is not interrupted by the relay. 2: The labeling of the 362 and 363 turn signal switch wires feeding the fender indicator lights is reversed. Note: the 363 turn signal switch wire is actually yellow/black. 3: The 474 wire color is not shown - it is red.

Thank you for the reply. The diagrams shown in the video are taken from the 1966 Thunderbird Shop Manual. In the copy I have the wiring matches the diagrams I used as I just copied and pasted them together and removing the non related wiring. I noticed your user is CougarsUnlimited so it is possible that in the Cougar system they changed the wiring or the manual I have is incorrect. And yes, I didn't include colors on all wires. But you probably know youtube does not allow a method to replace a video, so users should verify their wiring based on your comments, I guess. The shop manual has the wiring for the 1966 Thunderbird in two parts. I copied those and made a composite diagram which was used to make the diagrams I used in the video. A copy is on my website here: rbinck.us/tbird/composite.jpg and it is possible there are some mistakes in the Ford manual as I have seen some in other areas. One is the wire color on wire 474 which is not shown in the shop manual as you can see in the composite. Several others as well, but the wiring seems correct. The turn signal wire numbers 362 (RH) and 363 (LH) were taken from the manual as were the colors. Could be more mistakes or differences from the Cougars. I don't have a '66 anymore, so I can't verify one way or the other.
