March 2024 Florida state passed a law for squatters to immediately be arrested and removed from the property. I'm sure the other states will follow Florida in stopping this injustice to the rightful owners. State lawmakers said hooey to squatters rights, Florida is standing with the home/business OWNERS.

I live in Canada and "Tents" were part of the vernacular this past year. Some camped to protest while others camped out of necessity. One died because he had a heater and it became a fire. In The US, alot of Pop Stars go into Real Estate more out of necessity more out of choice. Easy solution, the owner can lease to new tenants, these new tenants are huge brawlers and they have the contract to move in and make life difficult for the squatters. Hope they have medical insurance.

Generally the sound of a pump action shotgun being cycled is pretty convincing. There are people who get leases from the owner, move in with the squatters and make life so miserable for them that they move out. That's also an option.

how long in total does it takes in total in UK to get out a tenant that has stoped paying?
In France after 2 month missing rent you may hire a bailiff, 2 month after his first visit you may ask a cour hearing , I got one 6 month later.
After the hearing, the court has taken 3 mont to make a decision : eviction of tenants.
Then the tenants are notified that they must leave in a 2 moth period, if after these 2 month they are still in (my case) the bailiff is requesting police assistance for physical eviction: 2 more month before he gets a specific date.
So for France all in all 15-18 month :( might be slightly shorter, may as well be longer if it is a familly with small kids or the tenant appears in court with a free loyer and requests an audience report fr any reasons
