Landlords who want to be nice will be taken advantage of. You're right she should have had them in court long ago.
I was surprised by the way they at least left it. she got a lot of cleaning and fixing, but not so bad.
So these renters in England basically just become squatters,the laws definitely need redefined.
In New Jersey, USA squatters have similar rights. Very difficult to remove them once they have “established residence” for even just a short period

Why do landlords wait for so long before they take action ?
Why would Rachael not take her tenant to court and get a judgment against her. Then she could go after everything the tenant owns even her car. She might be more willing to pay up when the bailiffs come after her vehicle. Quit being suckers to these tenants.
Her car is probably encumbered, and I bet aside from the car she doesn't have anything of value.
Why ppl think they can live in a house for free when its not theirs is beyond me, they are scumbags are all famous now do u think they could rent again after being on here
With all due respect, the bank owns the home and the landlord has likely barely paid for 20% of the home. Just imagine if I walked into a bank and said “can I borrow $10k? I’m planning on buying a car with it and renting it to people. Oh no, the renter has the car but haven’t paid me so I can’t pay you back”. Would you feel sorry for me? No! Then why do we feel bad for people who don’t even own the homes which are actually owned by the bank .. while they sub-let. If I sub-let something that doesn’t belong to me, people call m a grifter. When landlords do it, it’s cute.

Landlords in the US have those problems also.
Not in Florida anymore. DeSantis did away with squatter's rights. Occupants are now immediately evicted by the police. If they caused damage in excess of 1k, they are also charged with a felony.
it's a rule: the only house that pays is the one you live in. the worst investment is buying houses.

What really really upsets me the most in these situations, is how all these kind ppl who really wants to help others, with one of the most fundamental of needs of roof over your head being treated so unkindly in return.

The "ladies of the evening" probably know who the landlord is, but know that they will be out of both a place of employment and a home if they turn him in!!
The owner is the brothel has a similar accent to the working girls. I have a hard time believing that she's ignorant. Makes me wonder who's exploiting those girls.
You can tell the id card is romanian... Its frightening to think there could be girls who do not wish to be there and are afraid to speak up.

These tenants (freeloaders) really take advantage when landlords give them a break. The freeloaders seem to think just because one is renting a house, they are wealthy. Sorry to say but these days one can longer have sympathy for anyone. Get everything in writing, especially a tenancy agreement, make more frequent site visits, even if you have an agent. Before letting a tenant in, do full investigation of funds, employment, criminal background, etc., The landlords on top of rent arrears, have added expenses of a barrister, repairs, bailiff charges, court costs, damages, repairs, contractors, plus other expenses.
I’m confuse but I live in the United States and we do have our problems but I’m just so amazed people have no shame just living in somebody’s property without paying and fight them to live there for free🥺🙄

In Italy there is no way you can follow such an easy even if expansive way to kick out the tenants. A landlord normally lose up to 20.000 euros!!!

I think everybody who considers renting a property out, should watch a few of these episodes.
They will learn quickly it is best to use an agency and as soon as there are rent arrears, get to court.

Those things could be worse today which so much pressure on the housing market.
Some of these landlords are entitled. 'It's my pension' how about you work, rather than expect someone else to pay off your investment.
People work hard for their investment properties. How does that make them entitled? Rent is a fact of life. Landlords don't have to be Mummy and Daddy to the spongers. Tougher laws in Australia. We handle things differently. 🤠😎

Regardless of what the landlord does with the rental income owning rental property is a for-profit enterprise and the landlord is making their personal property available for people to live in in exchange for rent.
Private landlords are not a charity.
