- Here's a correction if any of y'all are confused: "Creative differences" is the actual reason why Sony cancelled Genndy Tartakovsky's animated Popeye movie.

Now I know the reason why. It’s because of creative differences that Sony Pictures Animation are doing. Until Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse showed up and saved the day.
Same vibe as blaming _Big City Greens_ for _The Owl House_ ending.
Seriously, whatsamatta with you people? Blaming one audiovisual media for another’s conclusion is just not right.
I swear these people will never understand business.
Accurate also believe it or not it was there along with Emoji on the schedule
We'll Get a Popeye Movie
Ah yes, I remember people complaining about that.
Yeah, I still hate that godawful movie myself to this day but I swear, half of these adultchildren just don’t understand that it is NOT The Emoji Movie’s fault for the Popeye movie getting cancelled.
I am laughing at my a## off on this nutshell 😂
Ok. I will admit I did remember saying that in one of Justin’s streams back in 2022 but now I understand.
I’ve heard it’s just a hypothesized rumor.
Apparently, people have been spreading that rumor since 2017, then I'm pretty sure people would recognize "creative differences" as the actual reason later
I have an idea.
Let's build a time machine to back in time and stopped Tartakovsky from canceling it.
Also weren’t there creative differences between Sony & Genndy Tartakovsky leading to its alleged cancellation?
Yeah basically then-Sony Pictures Chairwoman Amy Pascal didn't like Genndy Tartakovsky's take on Popeye. That's how Genndy Tartakovsky left Popeye over creative differences. He was also directing his own idea Can You Imagine? which never came to fruition.
That's a shame how we got that stupid Emoji Movie from 2017 instead of the Popeye movie.
Actually this nutshell video I made was not to be taken seriously and it was meant to be a joke cause in all seriousness I'm literally tired of people saying "Oh Sony cancelled Popeye because of The Emoji Movie". That's why I put the actual reason in the video description.
