Thanks for the tutorial. I have a problem with the step of put the "mesh to curve, curve to mesh, curve to circle" that nothing changes after do the steps. My line don't change and moving the radius of Curve to Circle doesn't change anything
Just tried to create with this tutorial and had the same issue, then resolved because I realizes I didn't click outside the GPencil after drawing it and before adding nodes in Sverchok, basically you have to not select anything
I'm stuck at 4:52 :( When I activate the frame the dots don't follow the line I drew... instead of making the "curvy" shape I drew, it simplifies it with straight dots across each other... am I doing something wrong?
I'm having an issue where the line created is very choppy and low poly, so it comes out very jagged instead of a smooth line like the grease pencil. It also is a problem since if I want to do small details it just won't show up at all, or if it's a short line. Changing the grease pencil brush size does not help, and I can't seem to find out why yours looks smooth and mine isn't. [Edit: nevermind, i was dumb and didn't finish watching till 9:31 where you explain it, lol.]
so cool except literally could not even get past downloading and enabling sverchock, kept getting an error and couldn't download the python whatever for it either. im not a coder i have no idea what people are saying on the forums and if my error is even solved by anyone out there. no one's made a video about how to fix enabling sverchock errors but damn i wish someone would
Had the same issue! Checked the devs notes and it said: if an error is raised like: NameError: name 'nodes' is not defined then exit Blender and restart Blender. This time also activate Sverchok by checking the tickbox, but give it as long as it needs to initialize the add-on. It's a complicated Add-on and might take up to 10 seconds to enable (depends on how fast your machine is and how much ram you have). Worked perfectly after that! :)
thanks :) we really want to but with client projects and trying to make enough money to live, time is very scarce. But we created a Patreon page on which you can support us. with enough people we'll be able to create more videos regularly :)
depending on the version of blender you're using the name might be different. as Marc Tschopp said maybe search for Curve parameter. Or try to update blender
This is great! Have you added any of the dependencies to make this work? Or, it they are not necessary for this specific project, have you experiemented with them to understand their utility?
Ich kann das Plugin nicht Intstallieren. Der Fehlercode ist, dass es im file __init__.py auf linie 77 den namen "Nodes" hat der nicht definiert ist. Hat jemensch eine Idee wie ich dieses Problem beheben kann?
I dont know if this will help or if you worked this out yet but try enabling curve tools and mesh tools in the add-on tab. Or hover your curser inside the geo nodes window instead of the 3D viewport, press Shift+A see if that works. I hope I understood your question
yess very easily. just import an image as a plane (addon) and match the head to the photo and then try to match the lights. after that disable the head and render the wire as an transparent png and combine the two either in blender or photoshop or something like that :)
maybe you could try to duplicate the grease pencil at some point and then hide it to have a kind of check point. you can also erase parts of it with the eraser
Omgggg!! Hi, How do you open a head? Or just create this yourself? I'm struggling with create a human head so I can modify later. Thanks for upload stuff for free 😀
Interesting tutorial. Thanx for sharing. Never heard about Sverchok. Live and learn. Btw, in russian sverchok (сверчок) means grig or cricket (insect who make sounds at night)... i don't know which word is right. )))
try to match the 3d head to a foto of your choice and then render the mask with transparency. then you can use the compositor in blender or a program like photoshop to match the two together
hey we were super busy the last year building up our company and working for client projects. but we're trying to get back in the coming weeks/months :)
Hey there, great tutorial!! Id love to ad some smaller details to the bigger splines. When i try to draw smaller shapes with the same settup they dont show up (onle the grease pencil mark) but not the chrome spline. How would you go about that? Should i just duplicate the process and create a second geo node wich has a smaller Circle radius? Hope you understand what i mean:) Edit: How else could you controll the thickness of the metal from the mask? im struggeling since i want to have different stroke sizes on the mask
@@TheFuzzypuddle Thas rough, i dont remember exactly. I think i created a new node group and scaled the whole project up . Then i had 1 node for the bigger one and one for the smaller ones. If i remember correctly the problem was that geo node started to clip because the radius was too small
This is a game changer! Thanks!
yeah i really think it's amazing :))
As always, quick n clear, thx bro🫶🏿
you're welcome :) thanks for watching
Just click into this video, has not watched to the end yet but this is exactly what I'm looking for right now, TY so much !
reeeeaally good thank you!
:))
I need help to install the sverchok node
your tutorials are the best!!!!
thank you really happy to hear that :)
if anyone wondering... "sverchok" means "cricket" in Russian language ;)
awesome :D thanks for translating!
Da
Actually no)))
luv this 3000 times
thank you!
you can also do it without sverchok, just draw curves which are edited in geometry nodes to look like stripes, roots, etc
gotta look into that :) always thought drawing curves wasn't as accurate as grease pencil. but gotta give it another try
@@toericht oh i didnt thought about that but maybe it's true, now i also need to look into that:)))
THIS ONE IS SIIIICK! 🔥
thank you!
This is such a great video! Just as I needed! I'm just curious how do I animate the curves once I'm done with the drawing?
Hi, is it possible to export this kind of model as a mesh to inport in to spark AR, I have an issue with this.
NIIIICE thank yuuuu
:)
is the there a method how i can animate the drawing
How would I set up the curve to taper on both ends?

probably wrong object used for geometry nodes.. maybe try do delete your drawing and draw something again!

great tutorial. But it didn't work well for me. It didn't covert to a mesh I tried serval times. Any suggestions?

@@nekdkwmdow123 Hey, did you ever work this out?
hey I think it worked with turning the "y" value up in the "MUL X" Sverchok Node then it appears the fit the curve better in my case :)
sehr cooool!
thx :D
Love it! Is there a way to make this happen on cinema4d?
It doesn't create an Alpha for me - did anyone have the same problem?
Yes, it didn't
This one is an amazing tutorial! I wonder if the shapes could be pointy at both ends. Would this be possible?
thank you so much! and yes that should be possible :) maybe you could use a float curve as an imput but not 100% sure

How do i make the curve stick to the human face? My curve is detached from the human face how do i snap it into place? Great tutorial bro!! Thank you
Dangit... got half way through and didn't realize I had Blender 3.0 open instead of 4.0 no Spline Para node...grr

thank you. it was very helpful and interesting. please tell me how to save this mask correctly for export
depends on what and how you want to export. if you want to export the 3d file just apply the modifiers, select the mask and click export in the menu
This is great! Have you added any of the dependencies to make this work? Or, it they are not necessary for this specific project, have you experiemented with them to understand their utility?
hey for this it's rather simple, just what is shown in the video but also haven't really experimented much more with that

Anybody know why the mesh to curve or curve to mesh node is not available ?
do you have sverchok and a new version of blender installed? maybe they also changed the name a bit if it's the newest

how we add sverchok :(
there's an installation guide on the github page we've linked :)
do you have a link to the model you bought?
How to turn off draw line after render please !
turn on in rhe render properties : Z and Combined, that will make it invisible
sick!
thx :D
hello love the video man I was just wondering if there is any possible way to reverse a grease pencil sketch once you have gone to far to undo?
