- Often times when starting a runescape account people don't really know what to do, well In this video I will show you exactly what not to do!
Many of these concepts are bigger picture ideas for the game that over the years I have seen myself identifying with. Most of these points are ones that at some point pertained to myself and since then I have learned and picked up on a better way to play the game that I hope you all will find useful.

These are some of the biggest mistakes to avoid when making a new account. Mostly just things that I learned through my own experience, share any of your personal advice down below and I'll heart the advice that I find really useful!
I think questing is fun and enjoyable. I put a larger comment on this below.
Your clan chat isn't very friendly. The main dude answering noob questions kind of just curses at everyone and shames them, lol. I had to leave cause it made me a little sick feeling.
ive never had to worry about doing too much combat lol
I really love doing quests in runescape. I enjoy the time and dedication the developers of runescape put into scripting and animating quests.

same.. i just got members and all i'm doing is agility and filling requirements for RFD so far..
Best way to train each skill is to commit to leveling them all up to a certain point before continuing to level up more. Get base stats 50 in each skill for example, before going for max combat.
Also, find ways that are profitable to train with. Each skill can make you some money while training and making money is a great way to motivate yourself to level up those skills.
Hans says I’ve spent 15 days in game. My quest points is 252 right now lol. I love questing and grinding the level needed for it. Can’t wait to get that quest cape.
You ruined my money maker
I really enjoy questing and achievement diaries. So much so that I have the quest cape, yet only 65 marks of grace. I truly hate doing agility but full graceful would help so much in doing other tasks like runecrafting
Clue scrolls were some of my biggest motivators to get my skills up

I've made some of these but I can't help it. Love combat too much. And seeing all those names in the cc brings me back (I was SwifferDustr). Kinda miss those days
For me quests are the most fun part of the game. Try doing it without a guide as much as possible (other than maybe items needed which helps a lot) and just enjoy the lore. Really fun.
Shouldnt worry to much about gp... I use it for my bonds o.o
I disagree with "doing methods for skilling that provides money while doing it" is better. In terms of less game time invested, it's far more efficient to do late-game combat moneymaker e.g. vorkath or zulrah,etc. and use the money you earn to blow through skills while getting way better exp/hr. Chopping yew trees is the biggest noob bait.
However, I do agree with questing more.

I highly recommend not writing off mobile. I’m definitely mainly on PC but I use mobile to train more afkable skills. It’s also a good way to play the market on a consistent basis
i use mobile to train click intensive skills like agility, I save afk for my laptop when I can watch tv and my screen won't shut off
I start by getting 55 in all stats
This is the way to go
Need to do quests at an early level but you need to train skills to do quests thus you end up grinding skills for gp because lots of skills require gp to level up with. Then you’re stuck doing mundane skills to do harder quests.
What a game
You only need to grind skills when you're 100cb plus and going for quest Cape lol. Otherwise it's just 53 thieving 70 cooking things that take no time at all

I think for me it is cool to have friends, but i prefer the grind of skilling, so i typically neglect a lot of my friendships in pursuit of maxing my account.
You should make a guide on the quests to make a good pure ;)

While I agree you should do what you want. This is just a video letting you know you might regret (example) only training magic.
Just started a couple weeks ago after not playing RS3 for a couple years. Good video, (I used to hate questing, but I kind of enjoy them now)
I've been doing MLM, should I sell back Prospector when I hit 72 for quicker access to top level or save up? Currently 65
In my experience, lvl 69-72/73 will give you around 100 nuggets

No dont, if u plan on doing acheivment diary and some other things u will need the prospector, also the upper lvl at mlm is only slightly better but more afk, so just unlock it when u have the nuggets
I agree in most things you said about questing and diaries but I don't think its very beneficial to grind skills for money at low level, better just go straight into slayer and make more money to spend on skilling rather then getting a 15k exp/hr on a skill to get 100k gp/hr.

my biggest problems with the start of the game is stuff that could be fixed imo. when i started playing i noticed i cant get into the options before making a character, therefore cant make the screen bigger to actually see my character better. then i closed the game cause i thought maybe i missed something in the main menu, which i didnt. and there comes problem number 2: it automatically created the standard character just by me closing the game in the character creation screen. if i didnt have a friend who was able to give me money for the redo people, and even tell me about them in the first place, i wouldve quit right there.

but that would require making an entirely new account, i dont think most new players are invested enough to do that. especially when that means the name they usually use is now taken by an account that they cant easily delete either.

im just glad i had that friend to help me change the character, because now i really enjoy the game. just there i was really close to not continuing, which is too bad because it blocks out some new players, even though it is kind of old by now
That sucks, but it only costs like 4k to change all your appearances.
Lol bruh I literally did almost all of my early game skills from 1-40+ off quests mostly I didn’t train any of them but mage and I still quested that to like 13 or 15

stop and just wait until you can use a mages book, tome of fire is only helpful for a few days until you have a mages book

as a new player please don’t do quests. They’re stupid and will make you quit. You’re welcome.
Quest help you level up certain skills faster, like the waterfall quest bumps you up to 30 attack and 30 str from lvl 1, most quest are simple errand quest maybe fight a simple enemy or 2. But the quest help you get around runescape alot quicker with the gnome glider or spirit tree for example. You can use fairy rings eventually etc. I mean they seem mundane and at times they are but in the end quest are worth the time.
Quest are pretty much key to the game you can’t even access some of the best money making bosses without quest
You can grind for hours to just have a base lvl 30 account, or do a couple quests in an hour or two and have a base lvl 30. But that's just my opinion, some people like the grind.
