    There are a few men who without them the world would be significantly different. Churchill is one of those men. I believe with all my heart that all of Europe would be speaking German if it had not been for this great man. One of the post mentioned that this doc. Was one sided..... At this point i dont care about his faults. He sacrificed so much snd obviously cared so much for his country and knew evil when he saw it.

    • @seandobson499
      @seandobson499 3 месяца назад +3

      He had his faults like all human beings and was an aristocratic progeny of the Victorian era when attitudes were very different but without him as our prime minister, I don't have the slightest doubt that we would have surrendered to the Nazis and much of the world as well as ourselves would have been enslaved to the Nazis.
      I was eleven years old when Churchill died and my school held a special assembly to give thanks for all that Churchill did for us and all the teachers who had served in the second world war and prior to his death wore their medals out of respect to Churchill and the Sunday following his death, the local Royal British Legion held a parade on a bitterly cold late January day and literally hundreds of men and women paraded, wearing medals from the two world wars and conflicts prior to the death of Churchill, many of them in tears.
      He was the right man, in the right place at the right time.

      Oh, and by the way, the highest scoring R.A.F. squadron in the Battle of Britain was 303 Polish squadron and Poles fought gallantly in Arnhem, Monte Casino and just about every campaign in the second world war and Poland was given over to the Russians at the end of the war and the Poles right from General Sosabowski downwards were treated worse than many of the defeated Nazis.
