when i was a child and belived slenderman was real. I thought this film was Tim burtons way of saying he saw slender as a child. Maybe thats why hes such a looney.
I like that I haven't seen this movie in years yet I can still very clearly remember that scene of him walking down that hill as it unravels :) so stunning.
@@LimeGreenTeknii "When it was discovered Sarandon couldn’t sing, Elfman was brought back to voice the character in song. By luck, each of their voices matched the character seamlessly." He is the composer, and the singer in the movie. Pure genius. 😁
So nostalgic for me. This song becomes sadder and sadder as time passes. To feel as if you've wasted your life in comfort instead of exploring the world, finding new experiences and yourself. Some quality existential crisis you've got there, Bone Daddy.
Yep. I remember my older brother having nightmares just HEARING the songs from the movie bc he was so afraid of it, while I sit there on the living room floor, watching it over and over, with a ginormous, innocent smile on my face. I've always loved this movie, and I only still do now because it's so nostalgic. Great movie!
I specifically remember the day I had a crisis like Jack's, (it was about something dumb), and saying "Wait.... I feel exactly how Jack Skellington feels in The Nightmare Before Christmas!!!!!"
I love this movie and the music is just superb and fits so well into each scene. I actually met the actor who voiced Jack Skellington last month at a horror convention I went to
This song really does explain that even if someone is extremely good at something and their talent for it is unmatched it doesn’t necessarily mean that it makes the person who is gifted with it happy. I myself have seen this before and people really do get tired with being praised for the same old thing over and over again.
There’s nothing about this song that isn’t perfect. The vocals are slightly off key on purpose to create a haunting atmosphere, and the instrumentals are super detailed and in a minor key to create a somber effect. I love this movie!
The guy in kentucky disliked this 5 times

Actually, Danny Elfman is the composer. You meant Danny Elfman's Monster.

@@kelly16469 The zombies he gives a coin to actually call him that in the movie.
Yassssssss (The voice actor for Jack doesn't do the singing. Someone *else* does)
In an interview at ComicCon, someone asked Elfman his favorite song he has composed. After pondering it awhile, he reluctantly referred to this one.
Petition for TNBC to get on Broadway
"And I JACK the Pumpkin King"
He says his name so violently... lol xD
Yea he does
Beautiful music, wonderful use of internal rhyme, terrific singing from Danny Elfman...a perfect tragic song.
Elfman's performance as Jack is astonishing...
poor Jack. I feel as if he makes the wrong decision. He tried to be something he's not
That's the moral to the story. Isn't it sweet?
This song is literally the definition of having everything and yet having absolutely nothing.
I think we can all agree the best part is when he said “and IIII JACK, the pumpkin king”
There’s nothing about this song that isn’t perfect. The vocals are slightly off key on purpose to create a haunting atmosphere, and the instrumentals are super detailed and in a minor key to create a somber effect. I love this movie!
BRO IT IS SUCH A GOOD MOVIE!!! It feels so nostalgic, too

Danny Elfman does all of Jack's singing/vocals, but the speaking voice for the character is actor Chris Sarandon.

The creepy pasta was made around 2007, the movie was made in 1994.

Worse. The fact that it's stop-motion is ideal for the film's style.
bigfatcarp93 it’s claymation
