    Very cool. I have been using Digital Performer for 20 years, and I have never tried "MERGE TRACKS" before! To make stems, I select the stem audio, making sure the length of each stem will be the same, then "BOUNCE TO DISK".

      That’s great, I’m glad the video helped out! The “Merge Tracks” feature is a real timesaver.

    Cool bro!! I'm sending my stems to my cousin in his studio in Amsterdam so that he can help me with the mix. I had no idea how to "line it up" until I found your channel. Thanks man!!! I just subscribed to!

      @@slaughtersoundmusic7003 I do have another problem that I can't figure out. How do I send the stems WITHOUT the effects, just RAW? And, if you don't mind, please subscribe to my channel. I'd appreciate that much :) I compose, arrange and perform different stuff. Here's a link to get you over to one of the videos. Tell me what you think. Pepper, the way I show how to export the stems is actually without the effects. That’s how you get the dry raw tracks. If for some reason you needed to include the effects you would use a different process called “Freezing “ the tracks. This creates an additional track with the effects from the channel strips. By the way I subscribed to your channel as well!

    Funny to see this video the day when DP 10.1 has added a stem bouncing feature to DP’s Bounce to Disk window. You can now bounce multiple tracks and/or outputs in a single operation, which lets you create stems with just a few clicks. This can be done in real time or offline (faster than real time). There’s also a new option to include live audio inputs in a bounce, so you can bounce patched-through hardware synths or audio from external software applications.

    There's an even faster way.
    After merging the soundbites and selecting all of them, use CTRL+Option+CMD+L and it will open the soundbites window. You'll have to select all the soundbites again in the tracks overview and then click CTRL+Option+CMD+L again to select them in the Soundbites window.
    If you already have the Soundbites window open, it will automatically select those Soundbites the 1st time. Then just click the "Export selected soundbites"..

      There's an even faster way :) After merging the soundbites and selecting all of them, use Option R and it will open the folder with these files in Finder.

    Hi! How can I export the tracks processed with the EQ and plugins process that I have used? Thank you in advance

    • @slaughtersoundmusic7003
      @slaughtersoundmusic7003  4 года назад +1

      To export your tracks with the effects on them you have to first “freeze them” This creates a new track with the effects that are used on the corresponding channel strip. This will also keep the original track as well. Usually when you send tracks for collaboration you don’t include effects like reverb in your chain so they won’t be difficult to edit later. The way you do it is to highlight your tracks like you’re going to export them but then you click Audio - (drop down menu.) - then freeze. This will start to create new tracks from the selected ones with the Effects.

      @@pocouturier You don’t have to “Freeze” them all at once you can do a few at time if you have to.

    First question, what is a stem, and why do I want to export anything as a stem?

    • @slaughtersoundmusic7003
      @slaughtersoundmusic7003  Год назад

      A stem is basically just a continuous separate audio track for each part in your song. They would be wav files which can be read by any DAW which makes it easy to collaborate between different studios regardless of software brand.
