More Ford/Lincoln cluster tests

  • Trying out a setup I configured using a Ford mirror adjustment switch, to control both sides of the display. This will allow me to have one knob in a center console instead of needing to fit buttons to a steering wheel and having to deal with clock springs.
    The switch information is sent over CAN to the cluster, as well as the data to turn the cluster on. These are sent from two separate microcontrollers, making it very easy and flexible to add inputs thanks to the versatility of the CAN bus.

    That’s awesome. I’m debating on trying to retrofit a late model IPC like this in a 65 mustang. You using canbus? 1 main and 1 slave?
