Something I learned is when doing an eye swap, I use the end of the handle of a spatula from inside the head to get the doll's eyes out, so that way your hands don't get so hot. You did such a good job with the eye swap though! That sounds like such a headache with the first doll, but the second doll turned out so cute!
Wow, you did a wonderful job on her! She looks beautiful. :) I'm so sorry about your lost doll, but I'm glad you persevered and created this doll yourself. I've never seen the eye removal technique you used, but it looks like it worked really well. I've never done an eye swap because I didn't enjoy the one wig I removed, so I really think I would dislike eye-swapping. I'm not buying any toys this year, AG or non-AG, but I'm thinking that a custom Claudie may be joining our doll family in 2025. Ideally, I would like her to have dark blue eyes and a #80 textured wig, freckles and earrings. Thanks for sharing!!
she looks amazing now!! I'm so proud of you for doing the eye swap, I know first hand how difficult it can be! It's a shame that you lost so much money on the first Joss, but this one is way better! Congratulations!!
She looks great!
