    It was so smart to pre drill the hinge holes while the face frame was on the floor instead of trying to hold the door up and mark it like I probably would have done. You taught me something today

      People take more pride and give it 100% when its their own home when doing carpentry,but the same people will do a so-so adequate job when it is their job,and when its someone elses home. Yes she does great work indeed!!

    You are offering good videos of a DIY process. good close ups, plenty of explanations, showing problems and how to overcome them, etc. Tools used and where to find them is always a good bonus. Great job.

    Building cabinets in place is an art that is not used today. People buy their cabinets a a box store and install. Nice work.

    Love the style of hinges you used, ; you have given me such confidence to start my renovations, cause I have to do them by myself,but watching you I’ve feel more and more confidence, who cares if I mess up a little , I’ll just correct it and move on and I know I got God’s hand guiding me and I know he directed me to your channel, so that’s for stepping out there for us women , Take care & God Bless,

    When you installed that toilet it didn't look like it would be too difficult to box in that corner as a closet. Look again right? I think you have a special skill that allows you to build something in your head and see each phase. I wonder if you ever put anything other than dimensions on paper. Superior workwomanship documented with a professional video.

    Beautiful job Melissa , Is the lathe and plaster an exterior wall or interior ? When using studs that are not "true" there is a technique known as a flitch plate that can take some of the bow out of badly bowed studs to make them usable.

    • @WelcometotheWoodsBlog
      @WelcometotheWoodsBlog  2 года назад

      That wall was interior. Never heard of a flitch plate, thank you!!

      @@WelcometotheWoodsBlog RUclips vid : How to straighten a wall for plasterboard , by Scott Brown carpentry shows the technique of making an incision in the stud on the bowed section and hammering a shim into it to make the concave shape straighter . Check it out . Not recommended for heavy load bearing walls .

    Always amazing videos and congrats on your 100K followers. Was wondering how well is dust collection on your sander and what brand is it? All my sanders aren’t good and I’m not paying over $600 for The really good brands. Thanks and keep up the great work.

      It's not great with the bag, but when you hook in a shop vac any sander works pretty well!

    Nice work. You’re scaring me with your table saw work though. You need to use a push stick on those narrow cuts and you really should never be pulling the work through the saw. Stay safe. 🖖🏼
