I am waiting with much anticipation to see this flick! Saw the trailers here on youtube, and keep watching them over and over! Horror movies need to be as scary as hell, where we all need to be in counseling from the endless nightmares from such a movie. Too many horror movies have left a lot to be desired. They get the hype from word of mouth, but you watch it and go "Really?? THIS is supposed to scare me?? HA!!!" This movie seems to be a genuine fright-fest! I can't wait to see it!

Awesome flick. Totally one of the scariest films I've seen.

Great movie, some good and original ideas, acting that had almost improv feel that worked well with the material.
As with almost any found footage film, we'll hear the usual criticisms (shaky camera, "how did the tape survive," etc.) but the same stories told with big budgets and omniscient cameras wouldn't have been nearly as effective.

When mumblecore meets Creepshow. It was good, though the second VHS is far superior.

hollywood happened.... the third was so fucking terrible, it destroyed the franchise. which is sad. this could've been an excellent springboard for new and exciting directors to go crazy and inventive with the genre. only that will never happen.... at the very least, we have two outstanding films to return too.

I just saw this film and what i want to know and what is eating at me is .Why the hell did it take this many people to make such a horrible movie ?? ..They give new meaning to the question how many people does it take to screw in a light bulb.

try the second. it's far tighter and polished than the first. the directors are far more experienced and do some really unique things with the genre, like gareth evans for instance.
