    I got a Montec stuck in a tree shooting at a rabbit so I took my drill and drilled some holes around it and it came out pretty easily.

      That was smart! I'll keep that in mind next time. They're a little costly to be loosing in trees

    I enjoy your videos. My wife and girls got me a crossbow for Christmas and I’ll be deer hunting with it for the first time this year, so I’m a little nervous/excited.

    Montec is the best the steel they use is amazing and there annealing process is the best science has to offer.

    You may know this already, but they make a bludgeon tip for bird hunting, and/or small game which work great and they have heat shrink veins that are rubber or plastic like that work much better on crossbow arrows rather than the feather style. Great hunt though enjoy your dumplings and great video.👍🏼🤩❤️

      Yeah I'm hunting these in my yard. I use a cutting broadhead so they don't get over into the neighbors yard. I use the feather fletchings so I can shoot them out of another pistol crossbow I have that has a front sight. They fold down as they go through.

    I like a little squirrel hunting food plot thing. I need something like that behind my house cause I only have a couple directions that are safe to shoot at.

      Same here not really in a good spot to be slinging arrows up into the trees, got to get them down close to the ground.

      In this video I did. That used to be how I did it...the bolts didn't seat to the string but I shot them anyway. The micro diameter shafts and parts to make proper bolts were hard to find then.
      Now ya can find the right size parts all over. I got'em on my websites if you're looking for parts. If nothing else that will give ya the right bolt dementions so ya can shop around.

    I just got me mine how long are the arrows your using for deer ? Was the trigger magazine assembly all you needed to Install

      The bolts I use to deer hunt with are 14 inches. Not sure about your other question...the Striker Bows I shot the deer with were factory.

    What is the difference between the mini striker (regular version) and the ballista bat? I’m considering getting one and they look exactly the same

      There is no difference, they're the same bow branded differently.

    Mate i use those Montecs. Great broadheads. I use them in both my trad bow and my compound bow. Ive got one those reverce limb pistol bows on the way. Got it for myself for Christmas. Can you please tell me what arrow/bold you build those hunting setup out of?

      They were some gold tip bolts I used to hunt with out of my full size crossbow. I just cut them down and double fletched them instead of three.

      They're a lot of fun but probably not worth the money. They're one of those novelty bows and that's expensive.

      I did one a month or so ago that was sponsored so I didn't have to edit out the little buggers being nailed down. You can't miss it. The thumb nail is a squirrel hanging from the arrow that pinned him.

    How many yards can you accurately shoot that? I'd love to see a 5 shot grouping at 100 yards. 🙂

      Not a chance at 100 yards...20 is about as far as I'd shoot at a critter.

    Bro that first one you shot. That had to suck to be him. Lol. But my question you shooting them with a Broadhead sweet. But how do you keep them from ripping apart while skinning them?

      I've never really had a problem with them tearing apart. There has been a couple over the years that came apart while I was cleaning them but that's all. I've made a couple squirrel cleaning videos if your interested, but the way I do it is the same way most other people do.

      @@TheWaterSwatters I know how to clean squirrel but everybody does it a different way. I cut mine through the butt step on the tail and pulled everything off at once that way I don't get hair all over the meat. I was just wondering if they pull a part or not with you shooting them with a Broadhead. By the way I like the video keep them coming.

    They make an arrowhead that works like a harpoon or whatever and you can sharpen the blades and still be able to pull the beaver in

      I've made a bolt to hunt beaver. Even went a couple times, they're hard to catch out in the day. I'll stick with it though!

      @@TheWaterSwatters coming from nuisance animal work and also who knows a lot about history the way they would hunt beaver is they would shoot them in the nose because then they can't swim underwater and beaver are quite active after dark

      Lol no thats real, my neighbor has all kinds of critters. Goats, turkeys, chickens, some geese, several dogs and who knows what else. It gets pretty noisy sometimes

      Indeed we do, mostly eat them in dumplings, but sometimes I chicken fry them. I have a couple videos up showing how I cook them if you're interested!

      Lol that little recurve bow is out of commission until I can remember to buy a bolt for the retainer clip. My son was shooting it the other day and it fell off.

      @@TheWaterSwatters I know a guy who is selling 80# upgrade kits for your alligator bow fairly cheap from Europe. It would bring it from 60 to 80 # and give you the power bost you need. I was considering using one to build my own repeating alligator with 80 lb limb attached.

      I would shoot a chicken out of the yard, throw it in a pot of gumbo and never miss a beat! I don't hunt for sport, don't care nothing about giving them a fair chance. Im there to kill so my family can eat if that don't make me a hunter than call me what you will I won't loose a bit if sleep brother.
