Kevin always stops himself when he is teaching something and starts explaining something related but afraid of going off topic and honestly I feel like that’s something he’s been called out for in the past and why he might stop himself and try to stay on target but I love it. He has so much knowledge and a really good way of drawing people in that I’d honestly listen to whatever he wanted to teach me about and all the mini stories that lead up to that particular lesson. It’s a great thing to be able to captivate people’s attention and teach them something. There is never a time when he’s talking about something that I don’t want to listen because I learn something new or at least a new perspective every time. I enjoy the videos so please don’t stop making them!

Xenobaby haaaa haaaa thank you . I try to stay kind of on target as I think about other points as I talk and expand what I’m saying. I try to back up collect myself and make sure my intent is understandable. I may repeat things a bit that I think are important so a newbie understands it’s a key point. Thank you for your kind thought ! K

New England Reptile you’re welcome! I just relate so much so it doesn’t bother me! I always start telling a story but then have to explain something so that story makes sense lol keep it up though! Your knowledge has value!

I made a mistake !!! The ZOOMED thermostat has 600 watt limit and I said it could handle more.... I had mixed up stats from one of our other thermostats !!!! Kevin

Hey, I watch you constantly on tv but can’t figure out how to like or comment on there.
Kevin, just wanted to say, forget the haters, you are a fount of information and I am hooked on your channel. Just watched your new video on the micro-scales and wanted to give you an “atta boy!” but now can’t find that video on my phone so, here it is, great job! I’m old school, no tech guru here! 61 year old great grandma and just started buying my snakes less than a year ago thanks to you and Brian. My grandsons want to come visit so hopefully this summer we’ll head your way!
    Great job! Keep it up!

Great content and valuable info. Ive seen too many people hop into this hobby completely blind and with little and in most cases no research. Kevins excitement is contagious and its a great tool to draw the rookie hobbyist in and really listen to whats being said. Ive kept snakes and other reptiles for almost 15 years now off and on and i learn something from almost every video and i really appreciate it. Your willingness to bestow everything you know on all of us makes your viewers very lucky

I tape my thermostat probe outside the enclosure directly on the heat pad and check temps inside with a temp gun every wk or so. That way my hogs don't move it in their renovations and my sand boas don't poop on it to throw off the reading. I'll have to check the zoomed thermostat out, thanks!

got a reptile question for kevin or anyone for that matter , so my ball pythons have got swimming pools ( lol) in there tubs , i use reptisafe in the water to get rid of any crappy chemicals , would it be better to use electrolytes , or would you use both . or just stick to what im doing ?

I have thermostats on my snake's heat sources, I still check the temps with a temp gun at least once a week to make sure they are still working and at the right temp. Not sure if it's my shitty thermostat but I have to adjust it when the temps outside change drastically. I'd never forgive myself if I cooked my snake I love him so much. I gotta try a zoomed one and see if those do their job without needing to readjust. I know Kevin would never promote junk so I'm sure it's a lot better than what i'm using.

Please help! I have that zoo med 600 for a heat mat for Bio Active setup in a 40 gallon low exo terra large. (Ball python) With dirt I am finding it difficult to get the heat to be at proper temp in actually hot hide burrow (bark hide) end. I am afraid to go higher, 90-91 on thermostat and it is not cutting it!
What is the highest temp would you recommend to set that zoo med 600 in 1 1/2 thickest 2 inches of dirt substrate would be a safe setting?
FYI I use a dimmer to control ceramic 60 watt bulb set at 89 night 86. Which helps the hide a bit, I don't want to over heat (like the tanks behind you in videos)
I can't find or it is me a actual temp! Thanks for the videos👍 and awesome animals
Thank you so much, huge fan since back in the day. Stay safe u all! Helena

Scott Williamson go higher on thermostat to get your temps. I’ve raised to over 100 on setting time get right temps in area. That’s a lot of mass to heat.
