Bodycam Shows Police Tase Woman That Smashed Up a Taco Bell

Police have released body camera footage that shows an officer subduing a woman that smashed up a metro Taco Bell with a tire iron. The footage, released Feb. 1, shows the moments an Oklahoma City Police Department officer arrives on scene early Jan. 30 at Taco Bell, 2608 S. I-35 Service Road. Just before 8 a.m. Tuesday police received a call that a woman was breaking windows and chasing employees with a tire iron at the business. An employee told police that 52-year-old Zette Lea Madden had approached the business on foot and used the tire iron to smash the drive-thru menu display. The woman then broke out the drive-thru window with the tool before breaking the glass on both entry doors and entering the business.
Employees stated that Madden came behind the counter and destroyed the cash registers while telling them to give her money. When officers arrived on scene they found Madden inside the business holding the tire iron. She allegedly began thrusting the tool in "short, stabbing motions" when the officer told her to drop the item. The officer began to fear for the safety of the employees still inside the business and deployed his taser, subduing the woman. She was then taken into custody. Employees reportedly told police that Madden lives in a vehicle behind a nearby club and that they had trouble with her stealing soda from the fountain in the past.

The variety of reactions to being tased never ceases to amaze me. This one screamed and dropped as if shot, while others walk on without skipping a beat
The ones who do that generally aren't successfully tased. Both prongs need to connect to create a circuit, or it doesn't go anything. I have seen cases where it looks like a weak connection too, but less common. People who actually get the full dose almost always go down. And they don't usually get back up unless they are insane or on drugs.

Anyone else watch this more than once? It was so satisfying to see the taser actually work and take the fight right out of someone during mid sentence.
There is another one that I watch as a guilty pleasure. An old lady refused to sign the ticket for a busted tail light and took off. After the cop caught up to her, she ended up getting zapped after a surprisingly high amount of resistance.
I come here few times per year. Will keep coming.

It's cuz this cop was not a dumbass and he turned the taser off once it accomplished its goal. Shitty taser operators are the reason why people think tasers are shitty. They're actually really great. This video is proof of that.

This isn't meant to be comfortable. This is called pain compliance.
To be completely honest it is not "pain compliance" at that point - while it is painful, it is technically the use of muscular-neuro interference which allows the incapacitation of a subject and a window for the officer to go hands-on to gain control of the subject. However, if a drive stun technique is used... THAT is considered a pain compliance technique.
