This was the FIRST song I would blast every Friday after working in the machine shop all week when I was 20ish - it was also a signal to my roommates of my intentions for the weekend - to....a...party. With the old Pioneer receiver and Jenson speakers it was probably loud enough for our entire building to hear. Side note - while most people were Nirvana and Pearl Jam heavy, Chains was always "my" band - just the perfect amount of heaviness - too much and its a dudefest - not enough and its ehhhh I won't post that here. Anyway - "It Ain't Like That" is a classic and Layne killed it - glad its still alive today through Jerry and Will and Mike and Sean.
Reminds me of a Gibson video I watched where they interviewed Jerry . He was talking about tricking Layne into quitting his 2 other projects and join them by auditioning really bad singers lol.
The great thing about having 2 guitars is Jerry can focus on all the leads and little ascents that are harder to do, or thin the songs out, if you only have 1 guitar.
IMO, Jerry's digging deep into the songbook and changing it up each show trying to appease the masses. You can be a big fan of the band and sing along in your home/car/etc. but when you get up in front of a crowd w/ a certain level of expectations AND trying to sing the songs respectively, it's a whole different ballgame. Greg is an amazing vocalist in his own right, even Jerry looks at the lyrics every once in awhile. Enjoy the show, quit nitpicking.

Great to see there're still touring. I saw them with the Clash of Titans tour in 91 at Val Du lakes (Silver Lake) Michigan. They put on a great show. I would sure love to see them again will Williams in vocals.

AIC is doing an amphitheater tour this summer/fall I hope to go to Council Bluffs, Ia
