  • In July of 2017 I had the opportunity to take a “homecoming trip” to WA State after over 5 1/2 years. In part one of this series we’ll catch a flight from Newark, NJ to Seattle, WA: from there we’ll check out the famous Pike Place Market in Seattle (as well as a few of my favorite spots in the Emerald City), and then I’ll give you a quick tour of my hometown of Granite Falls, WA (to include my Mom & sisters’ local shop, “Rustic Redemption”). Later on in the series I’ll take you on two of the best hikes just outside my hometown (with scenery that will blow you away), introduce you to my family and share some of the sights and sounds of this “diamond in the rough” little town I’ve only come to love more as the years have gone by.
No matter where I roam the PNW runs deep in my roots, and I hope this series will help others to see why. Thanks for watching!

AWESOME video. We live in Texas and we are originally from Portland Oregon. So this was a very similar experience to see. We haven't been back in almost 3 years.

Neat shop your mum and sister has. I just checked out where you all were after watching your great trip into the city. The area has awesome wilderness nearby. I suspect that's where your heading now. All the best. Mark

It's an incredibly beautiful area, and I was able to get in a few really great hikes during my visit. Honestly I took it for granted growing up, but moving away for so long gave me a new found appreciation for the Pacific Northwest. Thanks for watching!

Exiting the paradigm so to speak will do that....now there is a silver lining in the absence of something. Peace!
