I don't think the romantic type of love is special. And I am started to think that the romantic type of love isn't real. I mean about more than half of romantic couples either break up with each other or divorce each other, while most platonic best friends remain friends until death. I think that having a platonic best friend is a lot better than having a romantic partner or spouse is. Having someone who's like a sibling to you is a lot better than having a romantic partner is. Also, you would more likely be much closer to a person who's like a brother or sister to you than you would be with a partner or spouse. People tend to fight with their partner or spouse a lot more than they do with a platonic best friend, and you never fight with your best friend the way you fight with your partner or spouse. Partners and spouses are just temporary. If you break up or divorce them, it's hard to go back to them. With your platonic best friend, you're going to make things work, because they are your best friend, they are your go to partner. It's always easier to make amends with them than it is with a romantic partner or spouse.

I had a best friend who was an absolute sister too me we spent like everyday together and then one day my step dad got a new job in Toronto (I lived in Australia) and me and my step mum had to move away. At this time I was about 12 years old. The day I had to leave my school I remember all my other friends were crying, and don’t get me wrong I was too. The day I was leaving I remember minutes before I hoped on my flight me and my best friend Isabella stood there hugging and crying for like two minutes. We told each other that we would never forget each other and that even if we never cross paths again we would still stay in touch. With that now 6 years later on the day that I left 6 years ago I saved up enough money too fly too Australia by myself because at this point my step parents moved out, I contacted her parents and at the exact same time we last said goodbye I rocked up at her house, knocked on her door and surprised her and the look on her face was absolutely priceless. I could not have asked for a better person to be in my life and I may have only spent a week with her, but our friendship will never be forgotten. I love u Isabella and happy 18th. This is what friendship is.

I met my best friends when they were seniors in high school and i was a freshman. Now *I'm* a senior in high school and they are still my number ones. We talk every single day. My sophomore year i actually ended up in another state. And we still stayed in touch and visited. And then i moved back and it was the best thing ever. +ivys world_21 Sometimes, when anyone meets a new friend, sometimes they'll become best friends along with becoming more than best friends. Not always, but best friends can and usually do become a part of that family. But there are other things that are capable of happening where those best friends are capable of drifting apart. And in this video, it was so sweet and I'm not positive, but the girls could have stayed in contact with each other. For example: My 1 and only best friend I had in High School around junior year verbally bullied me. She was definitely going through a phase and she had changed soooo much. And then recently at first, I thought I had made a really cool new friend...but it turns out that her and I didn't even have a real friendship to begin with even if it had felt like one at first...it wasn't. All she did was just use me for my computer and I felt taken advantage of and had spoken up about it. And one day I told her "no more computer usage" and she wouldn't/couldn't accept that. I also don't even know why I had such an attachment to her at one point in my life while realizing that our entire friendship we had was fake and if it wasn't fake, then she never would have been so selfish with me because all she ever did was to come to my house for herself. I also realize and believe now that she never cared in what I wanted in the friendship because if she truly did care about what I wanted, she wouldn't have used my computer nearly as much as she had. I brought up the attachment thing because I admit I've done things I shouldn't have along with apologizing about them...and she betrayed even after the "friendship" ended. She betrayed me by contacting my family and I was soooo mad and hated her for doing that. At least I apologized to the friend who used me about my mistakes. Hopefully, one day she'll own up to her mistakes and eventually apologize to me too. Even though my HS best friend had verbally bullied me, at least my friendship with her was more normal. Also, not always, but sometimes moving can be a factor as to why some best friends drift apart depending on if they manage to keep in contact with one another.

With that now 6 years later on the day that I left 6 years ago I saved up enough money too fly too Australia by myself because at this point my step parents moved out, I contacted her parents and at the exact same time we last said goodbye I rocked up at her house, knocked on her door and surprised her and the look on her face was absolutely priceless. I could not have asked for a better person to be in my life and I may have only spent a week with her, but our friendship will never be forgotten. I love u Isabella and happy 18th. I met my best friends when they were seniors in high school and i was a freshman. Now *I'm* a senior in high school and they are still my number ones. We talk every single day. My sophomore year i actually ended up in another state. And we still stayed in touch and visited. And then i moved back and it was the best thing ever. I know a bunch of people say distance/work/school can drift/tear you apart, but when you really commit to a friendship and you love them, trust me, it works. The 3 of them are the big sisters i always needed (im the oldest sibling) and were who I turned to when my i couldnt talk to my parents. Love you 3 to the moon and back. +ivys world_21 Sometimes, when anyone meets a new friend, sometimes they'll become best friends along with becoming more than best friends.
Not always, but best friends can and usually do become a part of that family. But there are other things that are capable of happening where those best friends are capable of drifting apart. And in this video, it was so sweet and I'm not positive, but the girls could have stayed in contact with each other.
For example: My 1 and only best friend I had in High School around junior year verbally bullied me. She was definitely going through a phase and she had changed soooo much. And then recently at first, I thought I had made a really cool new friend...but it turns out that her and I didn't even have a real friendship to begin with even if it had felt like one at first...it wasn't. All she did was just use me for my computer and I felt taken advantage of and had spoken up about it. And one day I told her "no more computer usage" and she wouldn't/couldn't accept that. I also don't even know why I had such an attachment to her at one point in my life while realizing that our entire friendship we had was fake and if it wasn't fake, then she never would have been so selfish with me because all she ever did was to come to my house for herself. I also realize and believe now that she never cared in what I wanted in the friendship because if she truly did care about what I wanted, she wouldn't have used my computer nearly as much as she had. I brought up the attachment thing because I admit I've done things I shouldn't have along with apologizing about them...and she betrayed even after the "friendship" ended. She betrayed me by contacting my family and I was soooo mad and hated her for doing that.
At least I apologized to the friend who used me about my mistakes. Hopefully, one day she'll own up to her mistakes and eventually apologize to me too. Even though my HS best friend had verbally bullied me, at least my friendship with her was more normal.
Also, not always, but sometimes moving can be a factor as to why some best friends drift apart depending on if they manage to keep in contact with one another.

I used to go to vacation care because my parents would work. I made some new friends and one of them was my best friend. Unfortunately I could only see her in the holidays so it sucked butt. But when I did get to meet her we were two peas in a pod we were absolutely inseparable we loved each other. Then there was a day when she had to leave because she was moving and couldn't go to vacation care anymore because it was like an hour drive.
