    Thanks for the video it really helped me make my decision to buy one! I just bought mine today and am nervous yet hopeful I’ll be able to learn how to ride and get the enjoyment clearly everyone else is getting. I’ve never ridden a skateboard or any board for that matter. I tried my sons hoverboard and couldn’t do that at all but I’m hoping this is a different animal and will be easier to learn.

      @Timotheus Angaleus I ended up buying the Pint and love it! It took me about a week or so to feel pretty confident carving and turning. I now how over 400 miles on it and try and ride at least once per day usually around 6-8 miles until the battery goes out, I have a route from my house that leaves me with almost no juice when I get home. The biggest thing I can say is read up and watch videos and respect the board. Don’t give up because you had to bail or fall. Thankfully I haven’t had any serious falls but I have bailed a lot when I got nervous but stick with it because it’s so fun once you get comfortable. Is also am not a tricks guy and don’t do any trail riding yet, I stick to pavement because of where I live and mess around on grass a bit

    Glad to see another bro enjoying their new wheel, i'm excited for you man! I completely agree that the estate-boards can be more dangerous cause all it takes is one rock in the wrong place and you're down. I personally have a xr and just changed my tire the other day after getting that dreaded flat and if you think that the tire is on its way out its a good time to change and that's id say

    • @nyccollin

      Buy armordilloz from craft and ride! That’ll prevent flats.

    I never skate boarded before but after 3 days of messing with the Pint , i learned how to use it proficiently. This thing is very cool i ride it everyday around my house. Its an awesome toy i recommend it.

      @@526lawn im 28, i was able to ride it more less ok after an hour of riding. I used a wall to help me balance myself. You just have to practice. The cool thing about the Pint is that it has the simple stop feature that helps you stop when you want by leaning back. Its a lot of Fun!

  • @sawyerkilgour1660

    Hey friend. Awesome video!! I just wanted to let you know that Simple Stop is actually just when you lean back when you're going slowly and the board disengages. Heel lift is another stopping method where you lift your heel for the board to disengage.

    🤙🏽Hey dudebro great content! sharing the stoke! I kinda think they cap the speed only because of the curvey tire. The pint really seem to be meant to complement the xr+

  • @DABS139
    @DABS139 2 года назад

    Simple Stop just requires you to stop and either go backwards or lean the board backwards. The violet light turns on letting you know that it’s about to stop and just take your foot off. No need to lift just your heel when using Simple Stop. That’s a feature that I love about the Pint compared to the XR.

    Been going back and forth with the Pint or XR. Leaning towards XR because Im tall and with size 13 feet I think I'd fit on the XR a little better. You seem average or above average in hight compared to most Pint reviews I've seen, how do you feel about it? Have you ever tried the XR?

    • @GearKnowHow
      @GearKnowHow  3 года назад +2

      Haven't riden an XR before, but I've seen them around and they're much bigger and heavier. Me being size 11 shoes and 5'10" the Pint works just fine with plenty of room to move my foot placement around.

  • @Biggie743

    Great review! What I would personally add is that the Onewheel is sort more dangerous that a normal electric skateboard. I personally own a OneWheel XR and a Evolve and a Boosted e-skateboard. Electric skateboard has the ability to 'coast' once your battery is low while if you try and push the Onewheel, it will nose dived and you will crash. Thats why I tend to be a little cautious when riding my OW when riding uphill or when the battery is low. OW doesn't have much torque and because of the nature of the OW. That said, both types are amazing to ride and each fulfill a purpose. Eboards = Power and torque. OW = cruising and floating!

    • @GearKnowHow
      @GearKnowHow  3 года назад +1

      It all depends on what you use it for. I’d go with a Pint for just daily riding around, but if you want to do heavy off road or really need that longer range then go XR.

    It’s an interesting curiosity. Did you buy the $950 or the $1800? A little steep for most of us, for a toy.

    • @GearKnowHow
      @GearKnowHow  3 года назад +3

      I went with the $950 Pint, but I saw it was like $800 on Black Friday so it does go on sale on rare occasion. It's a lot of fun, worth saving up for.

      Worth every fucking penny.
      I own an XR and just got my second pint for my youngest (6) son his own.
      They open your whole world and pay for themselves in a year by offering something to do that does not cost $ to attend.
      They’re not cheap, but they’re totally worth it. Money well spent.

      Right foot out front

    • @DezertCrawlerRC
      @DezertCrawlerRC 3 года назад +1

      Usually right handed people ride left foot forward. In some cases right handed people ride right foot forward which is called “goofy” in the board sports world. Try thinking about which foot you use first to climb a step or stair or sliding on smooth floors with socks, which would you use. Have fun and be safe. Love my pint.

      Stand with both feet together. Without putting any thought into it start to lean forward and when you start to lose your balance which foot do you subconsciously put out to catch yourself? That's the foot that goes on the front of the board.

    from what I've seen online, if you buy a onewheel you better buy some fang bumpers with it too against nosedives
