Hollywood plum Fruit Review

With its beautiful showy pink flower blossoming in late winter and its crimson red foliage the Hollywood plum is a striking addition to the edible landscape. Often planted as an ornamental the fruit quality is up there with the best of the Japanese plums. Its dwarfing nature also makes it an easy fit in the landscape. Self-fertile and very prolific, fruit thinning is not a bad idea. This freestone plum is also a good keeper and would be excellent for jams and preserves.
