Best review yet. Great detail. No mention of privacy curtains for the front windows. Are there any or do we have to go after market?
Doe Joe yes their are. On the panels behind the cab there is Velcro for a curtain that wraps around the cab for privacy.
Good tour. May I suggest including a view of the in side, slide in. Like to see the accessibility when slide is closed. Also a little better look at the counter in the kitchen.

What is the name of the dealership your at? Not sure, but I think I missed that during your review. Great review by the way. And I can also verify the 10mpg. My Ford F-350 fully loaded with 15000 pounds behind it gets 10mpg on the highway with no problems. Averages about 12.5 mpg empty.
Trevor Lapp this guy was from Thor not a specific dealership. Also this is based on f550 chassis which has different fuel specs and this would be more like loading 4K in your bed and driving around than towing

David Binkowski I do not know anything in regards to the circulation. It’s a Girard tankless water heater if you wanted to read up on it.
Slaving the blinker to the side view camera? How come I didn't think of that? That is obviously a great idea. Otherwise, I'd like it more if it wasn't so damn long, they just HAD to max it out.

I absolutely love this motorhome, but I am more of a boondocking kind of guy. So what about Solar ????? How many house batteries come with the coach ?????? How many panels can I get up on the roof ????
Can I add a more powerful inverter ????
Is the Rotocast strong enough to add some lithium ion batteries in the storage pod underneath ????
Galen Long it’s solar prepped. Which includes the solar controller, wiring, mounting and plugs. You just need to mount and plug in your solar panel. It comes with 2 house batteries but has space for more. The RotoCast bays have weight capacities of around 300-350 lbs.

What I just heard from a customer who is camping to get away from the city right now. They plugged their phone into the TV to FaceTime family while they were camping and propped their phone camera up so they could see everything.

The metal exhaust under the outdoor kitchen ~ what is that? Does it get hot to the touch after driving? Doesn't seem practical or safe. Also what's up with the 5 remotes see kitchen vid inside drawer ?

Hi Martin, the closest dealership I found near CT is DYLANS RV CENTER in Sewell, NJ(187 miles from Hartford). Just did a basic search on the Thor website and used Hartford as a starting point. I hope this helps

@@martinneps9387 - Bunkhouse? This rig did not have a "bunkhouse." If you're talking about the bed over the cab, that area is just that; extra space that's been added above the existing cab. You can use it for whatever you like (storage, extra bed for company, whatever) but it's going to be there because this is a Class-C (described as a Super-C but your rigs are categorized as either Class-A, Class-B or Class-C --- and this is a C which means it was built on an existing truck chassis and the cab of the truck is part of the rig itself). The bed over the cab will help you with resale if and when you're ready to change rigs. I lived out of a Class-C for years and just used the bed over the cab for storing large bulky items to get them out of the way. Mine was new but not nearly this nice as this was years ago; had one slide on the driver side for the living area.

berniedmj1 doesnt Thor own jayco? Thor is the largest motor home manufacturer in USA I believe. It’s my opinion they are all about the same in that price. Like the v6 mustang is about the same price as v6 Camaro. One might have solid rear axel (not any more) or some other notable feature but at similar price points they are about the same. Rv’s are kinda that way. My opinion if you stick with the big 8 rv brands

It is a modified f550 super duty so it has 2x4 - 4x4 H- 4x4 L - & electric locking differential not to mention beefy suspension already. Only thing it’s missing is ground clearance

cringed at the term "leatherette". and all the cool stuff inside is negated by using 1974 wood effect doors on all the storage units. shame, this is one nice beast otherwise

4x4s have slightly more weight and slightly more drivetrain drag. In a small vehicle that can kinda matter. In a RV, not so much. When you have the aerodynamics of a slightly rounded brick the extra drag of a few more bearings and the rotating mass of a few extra shafts aren't all that relevant.
You are technically correct (the best kind of correct) but assuming that it'd actually get a significantly worse number over a slight difference is incorrect.
The problem with these, when the cab bushings fail, you're sol.
Sorry this looks like an overbodied handful in the wind and cornering plus prone to saggy rear end in a short term.

Yeah it’s a 4x4 might help a bit on a snowy road but you are not going off-road with that one, for one there’s barely any clearance!?! 🤷♂️
I thought the same but a lot of ok dirt roads I was afraid to take my motor home would now be not an issue. I’m thinking parking at the sand flats. Still not sure this is a better set up than towing my 35’ trailer with axels under springs with f250. Interesting proposition. My passengers might be more comfortable on the trip. More room in a trailer for motorcycles behind this than my truck bed now while towing my rv. You are right not really gonna take it off road more than I do now but I see the advantage. And I love the idea of 68gallon fuel tank. Same fuel economy as me towing now but twice the range... still a lot of $$

@More To Living you've never seen a good composting toilet then. Toilets that use the black water tank are the worst, at least use a cassette toilet.

How can this be a 4x4 if Ford does not make a "True" 4x4? I mean yes, they have a 4x4 logo, but the differentials are OPEN so they power goes to the wheels with the LEAST resistance. Get one wheel on ice and you’re just as stuck as a non 4x4.

Putting lockers on the rear on a 4x2 doesn't make it a 4x4.
pandinha - Neither does adding lockers to an open differential. LOL!
Never buy a motorhome new, unless you really enjoy months without it while it gets all of its defects repaired. Except of course they never will fix all of them.
