    Such an important talk.
Wish there was more people with his concept of music.
Having those kids on stage will change their lives, regardless of the piece they played.
Encouragement to be yourself In music is such an important concept often forgotten by performers and composers nowadays.

So much truth in everything he said and played!

Standing in the spotlight in front of this huge audience seems to have shaken the kids a little :) The pressure of 'I should / must' be doing this and that seems to be pulling them back (which is also precognitive as human nature). I'm sure they'd be lot more free and have much more fun by themselves in the practice room. This must be a huge experience for them. Sweet.

Actually, I teach music in a middle school and this is great. Difficult to get kids to open up like this.

I've participated in many drum circles where everyone was doing their own thing and over time it goes in and out of synchronicity which was always awesome. I've had one occasion where several of us got together playing different instruments doing our own thing and in time we were all improvising together and made some amazing music. I hope that in time that these kids get there as well.

I play in a band where the players move in and out of synchronicity. unintentionally. I find it unpleasant. Then there are those moments where suddenly, for no apparent reason , it all just fits, and becomes easy, and almost a form of quietness. I'm presuming from this talk that that is when true harmonic synchonicity is reached and there are no tatty bits of sound/rhythme/frequency that are creating 'noise'.

Really enjoyed hearing you talk & improvise vocally, but that cacophony at the end just didn't work for me at all. Of course, typically, I don't much care for the jazz that others seem to like, so feel free to take my comments with several grains of NaCl.

But maybe that "precognitive" musical instinct is some harmonic synchronization among a group of people, something completely different from jazz.
