The tribute to Satyajit Ray with all his movie music to his portrait inside the compartment was a heart warming touch. Wes Anderson needs an oscar anytime soon.
I love all Wes Anderson movies but The Grand Budapest Hotel is truly his masterpiece. I'm looking forward to watching Asteroid City as soon as it's released.
I was in India filming a Canadian film while this was being made. Prior to leaving I called all of my favourite Indian crew from the previous film I was on in India to ask them what they were up to and they were all on this. I was sooooo jealous. There was too much of an overlap for me to join them on this so I just visited after my film wrapped. I'm still jealous...
I watched the Darjeeling Limited for the first time a couple of years ago, and I wondered how the hell i didn't know about it earlier. Why nobody recommended it... I love the film. Recently i heard it is one of Anderson's weakest, according to I don't know who... Really? Well, it is one of my favorites
People get weirded out seeing real life based characters in Wes's movies because they got used to seeing made up superficial mainstream characters that are made to entertain them.
After looking at him looking particularly attractive in one video - he reminded me of someone from a library discussion group I attended - I then go outside to finish my lunch, a female neighbour comes outside - I am female - at the same time, and the overhead planes go wild - or the sound engineer: sometimes there are actual planes but it must usually be sound effects. I am a science/disease denier and the pressure on me is revolting.
"I'm lazy, but when I work on movies, I'm busy all the time because I get obsessed with it." -- Wes speaking for himself, and all of us.
Darjeeling should have won the Oscar - a great work indeed.
Is it at least nominated?
fr. my favourite movie ever
Why do you care if it was nominated or not?
It wasn’t nominated for my award show, yet no one seems to care.
he seems like a truly humble, smart, sorta shy guy.
Lmao no
He is one of my Top 5 favorite directors. Wes Anderson has such a great sense of aesthetics and story telling.
X2

The French Dispatch was snubbed this year.
@@luismarioguerrerosanchez4747 yes it was a sad news for me also.
"And Owen, when I went to him.... script."
Now I'll never know. :P
timestamp? I know I'm suuuuper late but that sounds hilarious

This did not age well. Asteroid turned out to be a big pile of self gratuitous poop
there's nothing that annoys me more when a reporter interrupts their guest like this...
My favorite movie of all time

I have all my Wes Anderson movies all on one shelf together
A Wes Anderson Satyajit Ray collab would have been something.

❤️❤️
Truly a creative masterpiece - one of my two favorite movies of all time.
One of my Favorite movies! Thanks for this interview :)
This interviewer is terrible, he asks the right questions sometimes but then interrupts him repeatedly, I think he likes listening himself talk
He wasn’t good at following creatives. That’s about following not leading.
Exactly.
Interview isn't symmetrical. can't be about this movie.
Respect from India.... ❤️❤️❤️
To me, he's the one of the greatest director.... 🙏🙏🙏🙏 #NAMASTE
Really liked that he had neither ridicule nor ideal romanticism for India, just India
The interviewer gets so annoying in the middle of the interview!
It’s weird because I find Charlie rose to usually be a very good interviewer but in this he made a lot of interruptions
Hotel Chevalier is a beautiful introduction to the film. Love it
its funny - i just assumed i wouldnt like wes anderson as a person but watching interviews w him I find him very endearing
Damn this reporter keeps interrupting jesus christ dude
Never knew Bryan Cranston was a journalist as well
Fantastic mr fox is a masterpiece by Wes
i am obsessed with satyajit ray movies
I am newly obsessed with Satyajit Ray films!

Same
Same. I love it. Not sure why it gets such a low ranking.
Anderson's weakest movies only manage to get down to about a 7.5 out of 10. In that context saying it's his worst film doesn't mean much. :)
I think Darjeeling Limited is his best. People who say this is his weakest, just don't get it !
4:10 how do you spell that? Satchit diray?
Satyajit Ray
Sat-ya-jit-ray
interviewer does not wants him to talk

oh yes he is Owen Wilson's friend
Stop interrupting your interviewee !!! Omg

Bbut all the characters are fict-never mind.
Interrogation
seriously
So terrible black background, it’s like interview from 1967 (not a compliment)
Wes Anderson really little kinda architect in his movies, even for example train in The Darjeeling Limited, especially finale scene
He always looks tense and on edge 😅
Disease
WA should do a sci fi western next.
Ah yes, a "West Anderson".
Scott Youngblood exactly!

It’s called the Mandalorian
Your wish has been granted
He looks like male Naomi Watts
Qui-Gon Jinn i cant unsee it now
He looks like he's gotten into some bad plastic surgery
He used to look like a bit of a mixture of Bryan Adams and Eddie Redmayne
People are strange when you're a stranger
Wa is hot
He is 51 now 😂
@@Godeeznuts Yes and
Terrible interviewer!
could someone tell me who the interviewer is?
Charlie Rose, he played grabass on some ladies and got fired in the #metoo craze.
Darjeeling missed something isn't?!
the worst interviewer ever… why can’t he just shut up and listen…
We was kind of like a lawyer, but he wasn't that bad
Rose looks a bit like the left winger from the library discussion group.
