I need your anime and manga recommendations.
Anime/manga wise, InuYasha is my choice despite being about twenty years old.
As for games, I’m a Dragon Quest, Fire Emblem, Phantasy Star, Monster Hunter Stories series fan.
Dragon Quest is OG great.
Samurai Champloo I like better than Cowboy Bebop, Lucky Star for your slice of life fix. For fanservice I loved Witchblade and I Wanna Be The Strongest (ladies wrestling).
Anime: CowBoy Bebop, Rahxephon, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Made in Abyss, and Yu-Yu Hakusho.
Manga: Domestic Girlfriend
Yu Yu Hakusho is 90s anime comfort food. I absolutely love the series. For something newer go for Black Clover and Mushoku Tensei.
New to the channel but loving the videos! Recently finished my Full Metal Alchemist: Full Metal hardcover collection

It’s nice to see FMP get some love, im such a huge fan of the series that I bought up manga, anime, novels, and model kits, and true story I got Mithril patches made when I was deployed to Korea. 😂
But that 12 year wait for season 4 was killing me, I hope they finally finish off the anime soon, Im hoping it’s not another dozen. 😅

12:13 I picked this game up too as I previously played it on PS4 and I love the contents that come with this physical release[SUPPORT PHYSICAL GAMES]. The cover to both the big box and the game itself are an improvement over the PS4’s original cover for Undead and Undressed. I also enjoyed the anime based on the games which this game actually has costumes of in its Toybox mode.
Heck ya, I always want to support physical whenever possible as well.

Love these videos, dude. I also finished gantz not too long ago. Been keeping up with my hero, one punch man and Tokyo revengers when it comes to manga. Just finished Valkyria chronicles 4 so now I'm only missing the 2nd entry on the psp. Have a nice day.

Thanks for bringing Dandadan into my awareness, I hadn't heard of it previously and it sounds interesting. Demon Slayer is a lot of fun and I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it because my tastes also lean toward older anime and manga. I have the Switch version of Mato Anomalies and while I haven't gotten very far into into it, I have enjoyed what I have played so far. As for some anime and manga recommendations, I suggest checking out Kurozuka, Dorohedoro, and Dororo.
Man thank you for these manga recommendations! I'm gonna try and find some volumes on my next excursion haha. I would love to hear your thoughts on Dandadan if you give it a go. I have been shocked by how much I've grown to love it

One anime I would suggest is Samurai Seven. Based on the classic 7 Samurai story, but with a Japanese future-steampunk twist. Amazing characters and world-building.

Nice pickups! Yes by all means include other nerd stuffs in your vids! And I like finding Japanese games that got fan translations patches so that would be cool if you show the ones that you picked up as well! I didn't know about Magna Carta on PSP so now I will have to hunt it down! I also got Batten Kaitos on Switch because like you said, it smelled limited print run aka spiked prices in a couple of months lol! I also picked up Mato Anomalies on PS5 and it was 15$ up North so pretty happy about that! In 2 days it's Spider-Man 2 so looking forward to a gaming weekend! Great video and keep up the good work!

I didn’t know that there was an Elden Ring manga until now. Funny how it’s kind of a funny manga when the game is brutal 😆 I guess players need some comic relief after dying so much lol.
Regarding Gantz:G, when you really like a franchise then it’s pretty much always really neat when it gets a spin-off as long as it’s at least decent. Sure, the spin-off might not be as good as mainline, but it’s more of the good stuff, which is great 😃 Spin-offs often give great new stories and perspectives.
Thanks so much man! And yeah maybe that is what they were wanting to do for Elden Ring fans after they triumphed over some of the nastier boss encounters haha. But yeah more Gantz was definitely a good thing and I was very excited to be able to read them finally!

This video hits me hard because I just finished selling off most of my anime collection which was kind kf a bummer... I did earn enough to buy a nice gaming laptop though and plan to get back into coding some so gonna be positive for the future.

Awesome pickups brother! I’ve also been told Full Metal a panic is amazing, but haven’t got to it yet. Always a good days when you find a Vita game to add that’s not insane priced. I really gotta pay attention to Amazon deals more often. I always forget about that option until I’m looking for something specific. Unfortunately for me, the closest half price books is almost two hours away, but you bet your booty I got there anytime I’m in the area. I would love to see you keep showcasing anime and manga along side your videogames and videos. I always find something that makes me go “I gotta have it!” Or “Gotta check that out!” Haha

Action rpgs and busy getting into jrpgs as I only just started gaming again after 9 years away. Anime has been my staple for 30 years I must have 80 gigs on externals - my best collectable is the original transformers movie on vhs from 1986 with the death of optimus :-( - great show bud!!
I dig the anime and manga shares! I always got my recommendations from old Happy Console Gamer episodes. I wish he would’ve done more or had the time to do a second channel cus I prefer the older stuff too generally.
I’ve also been going back and picking up old Warcraft media cus I was a long time player too. I got the Sunwell trilogy and the Shaman manga for mega cheap on RightStuf some months back. I think it was like $1/$3?? I always ask at comic shops if they have any of the old Warcraft stuff. If you love it too, it might be time to find a few more things now that Metzens back at Blizzard. Hopefully the universe receives a breath of fresh story!
What a small world! I love these old Warcraft lore and Metzen coming back has me really excited. I came back and did the current season of Dragonflight and it plays great but I'm hoping that I can get invested in the story again going forward. Thanks for the feedback!
I show manga and “video game related” pick ups. I think people appreciate seeing all of it. I got that Elden rings manga too. I kind of laughed when I saw it at the store. What a random franchise for them to make a manga of.

Excellent video, i'm a big Gantz fan too, other dark/mature anime i'd recommend; #1.Goblin Slayer #2 Made In Abyss(My favorite) & #3 The 86 (Not as dark,but a story straight out of a JRPG),and if its not to many,Mushoku Tensei is definitely worth your time.
Full Metal Panic FUMOFFU is absolutely worth a watch at some point. I don't think it's critical to the timeline of the main series, but it's really a fun watch and it has my favorite character Bonta-kun.

Fumoffu is season 2 and definitely a critical watch despite taking place at school and being very comedic, it develops the closeness and camaraderie between the characters and will make the events of seasons 3&4 more impactful on an emotional level. Plus it introduces characters (student council) that also show up in Invisible Victory (S4) and explains the closeness and trust between them.

I don't play many 3D platformers either, but loved Super Mario Odyssey and Kirby & the Forgotten Land! Baten Kaitos looks cool so I might have to pick that up at some point. Also, I'd love to hear your thoughts on Mato Anomalies once you get around to it. I've heard absolutely nothing about it (either positive or negative), so maybe it might be a nice hidden gem?
I really need to read and/or watch Demon Slayer at some point... I have a pretty big backlog at this point though so who knows when that will happen lol. Doesn't help that I recently picked up a bunch of manga recently too! (and hopefully I can get a pickup video together soon to show that haul off!) Not sure if you've read them or not, but I think you might like Parasyte and Doubt. I feel like they kinda have similar vibes to some other manga you've liked, and they're both not too lengthy either.
Oh and I really need to watch more Full Metal Panic! I really liked what I have watched, but I'm pretty sure that I've only seen the first season. I kind of want to read the light novels that they're based on too haha.

Where to begin with recommendations?!! Some of the anime greats: Death Note, YuYu Hakusho, Code Geass and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. My current favorite manga are Dandadan, Chainsaw Man, Kaiju No. 8, and Zom100. I have a feeling you'd like Tsutomu Nihei's works, they're sci-fi dystopian, Blame! and Knights of Sidonia. Kaguya-sama is a phenomenal romcom and A Silent Voice is a great movie and shorter series.
I have got to read Kaiju No. 8. I keep walking by it and never jumping in. Thanks for the recommendation and i'm gonna checkout A Silent Voice too

Gantz is really good, though the usual suspects will complain about it's "visual" aspects.
The Osaka arc was completely insane, looking back it was like a Souls boss that you were finally beating yet another phase of the fight kept starting.
100% agree and it is such a bummer it has never gotten that type of treatment. It'd be an incredible souls game!

mato anomalies has problems with the translation unfortunately so at times it's incomprehensible but otherwise it is quite good.... but u know in a visual novel understanding what is happening is kinda key. Grand Knight Kingdom is a hidden gem for sure... basically the remake of Vanillaware's Grand Knights History on PSP.

Loved Gantz as well. But wasnt a fan of the ending and it kind of tarnished the rest of the series for me. It’s dark and gorey but not as bad as stuff from something like go nagai or berserk, which I find way more disturbing.

Gantz makes me confused cuz I am curious due to the fanservice, but at the same time, I'm turned off from the gore I've seen from it.
My favorite anime is Rurouni Kenshin. I still have my MGRR and both Baten Kaitos games, so not interested in the hd remasters without english voice acting, especially for Origins.
Rurrouni Kenshin is an all time classic! Great pick and yeah I would caution gantz as it is very full of gore
