By being both portable and a TV console it’s wholly unique, so Nintendo can milk this cash cow with endless ports and collections for as long as they want. Why rush? Here’s that Link’s Awakening remake you didn’t know you wanted; oh look, every Final Fantasy from I to XII; how about a new Pocky & Rocky revision; let’s get Metroid Prime, No More Heroes, and Turok out of the dustbin.
I don't see where the switch 2 can improve our gaming any time soon either, especially knowing that the v1 will not come with an Oled screen...the switch is turning out to be the best handle console of all time. With this catalog nothing will come close to it for the next 4 to 5 years at least. I don't need anything more powerful right now, it is content we want and we already have it. My switch backlog represents minimum 3 years of gaming..and these video keep increasing the switch life expectancy, and that is great

Great pickup with the FE shadows of Valentia CE! One of my top fav 3DS games ☺️ I adore One Piece but recognize it can be a huge time sink to get into. Odyssey contains some major spoilers from before the time skip (and a few from later on), but is mostly viewed as an alternative universe sort of experience. By design the game will resonant more with fans of the franchise but imo you don't have to be fully invested in the original source material to enjoy the game. You can potentially check out the live action & a few arcs of the anime to see if its something you want to be fully invested in. Personally it took me years to finally catch up and while it was definitely worth it for me I can see how it may not be for others. Hope the little bit you've tried so far has been enjoyable at least!
You have fantastic taste in 3DS games, I applaud you! FE Shadows of Valentia is one for the history books for me too! Also really appreciate you confirming my suspicions. It definitely appears to be a daunting task to catch up but I'm also kind of at a point where I'm ready to get massively invested in a show. So I'll have Odyssey to look forward to once I catch up. Good pickups! Fallout 3 and New Vegas are both great. I enjoyed Sudeki, but it was pretty shallow honestly. I do agree that it should have gotten a sequel though, as you said there's good bones in there. Super Mario RPG is the only game I've preordered in years; I was so excited when it was announced. I played “One Piece: Odyssey”. It’s probably the best JRPG we’ll get based off a popular anime like this. The graphics are great! The characters and manga/anime are well represented. The battle system isn’t my favorite, with some weird quirks, but it grows on you. I thought I wouldn’t like “FE: Echoes” but LOVED IT! Became one of my all-time favorite FE games.
Watch One piece up to Dressrosa if you want to understand what's going on in One Piece Odyssey. I love the game it's one that I'm Thankful for as I haven't played a good modern jrpg based off anime in a while.
Nice I did a few black Friday pickups I picked up FE three hopes, dead cells (Castlevania dlc) , tales of arise and P5 Royal for switch. I went to Amazon and GameStop's website I remember Oni I had that for PC when I was younger a pretty underrated game and I bought the Fire Emblem echoes collector's edition as well years ago when my local GameStop had an access stock of 3DS games they were trying to get rid of got it dirt cheap and made out like a bandit 😂
Awesome pickups! Especially those Vita ones! God Wars is awesome on Vita but the Switch version is the complete version (it has the DLC included with it) if you're ever interested to play them! My order from VGP with Eternights (plus other games) in it should arrive tomorrow! I'm also waiting for 2 orders from Play Asia with one having the Etrian Odyssey Trilogy on Switch in it! Fallout 3 and new vegas are amazing. Been playing eternights, and the battle system is a little rough, but it’s worth getting thru for the rest of the experience imo
Oni? SUDEKI?! Respect Yes 100% yes Odyssey will spoil One Piece, several arcs both early and later. I just beat Eternights yesterday. I see potential should the studio do another game like it. I'm debating on either starting Star Ocean 2 remake or just wait for my copy of Yakuza Gaiden to arrive and maybe go through Rhapsody 2 and 3 instead.
StudioSai who made Eternights secured several million dollars to produce another game. We will definitely be seeing more from him and his upcoming team :-)
Brother, I hope your fixture accessory is better than the two I got. I bought two of them and they both stopped holding my screen up after about three months. I was VERY disappointed because it cost me about $30 and both times that issue happened

It breaks my heart that these things are degrading. I’ve had to emulate it on my steam deck through Retro Arch. It makes capturing footage a little easier when I need to. Idk if that helps
@@HallowedBeThyGame so I don’t thing it’s a problem with degradation. Some of the games were printed on a different style disc. Like Oni, the ones with a dark blue back side. They might have been early released. Not sure on that. But the ps2 has trouble reading them apparently.
God Wars combat system was ridiculously good. Starfield is cool but suffers the typical bad level design on a whole new level and an anti climatic ending. Sudeki was soooo good for it's time. I need to get Arafell and Smelter on my radar :D
i saw arafel many many years ago as a free game. and the story is good but for me its the game that any body likes as a free game not much of a good graphics but the story was.

Buuuuut, my copy is almost 20 years old, illegal and can only be installed on a virtual windows xp installation. I literally have the unpacked game files on an external drive. might be time to spend 4 euros on steam to officially own it I suppose. Kinda funny how my friend got it for 5 euros at a game store in 2005, but now, 18 years later it's 6 euros on steam xD. also weren't you the guy always shilling for undernauts labyrinth of yomi? I think it's your fault that I bought it during this black friday sale ;)
btw, Sudeki was planned to not only be much bigger than what we got, but also as a western franchise answer to japanese rpgs (this was made by a western studio after all). Some other guy on youtube made a video about all the cut content. in the end, the sequels were cancelled and the devs were forced to crunch pretty hard. they still delivered a great game.

Honestly jealous for the physical of Ara Fell/Rise of the Third power. No idea they made a double pack. I love Ara Fell. Beautiful game. The soundtrack is amazing.

I first heard of Sudeki back when RARE was purchased by Microsoft, I got an XBox Magazine that covered the RARE situation and within the pages of the mag was a preview of Sudeki as well as Dead or Alive Xtreeme Beach Volleyball. Those two games are the reasons why the original XBox is still worth picking up if you love Anime games, or in Sudeki's case a Western Developed game that took major inspirations from Anime in their character designs.
Oni needs to be remastered for modern systems, especially for the Switch. The only Skyrim I got is the Switch version. Speaking of Fallout, *want* to see Fallout 4 released on the Switch. Don’t know much about Sudeki, but after seeing it here, kind of *wish* it does get remastered for modern systems including the Switch. The only Fire Emblem game for the Switch I have is Engage. Have both Fire Emblem Awakening, as well as Echoes Shadows of Valentia, still for my 3DS.

The only problem is all of these games are severely limited by the switches hardware. Imagine if these games were available on pc or steam deck

I have oni on ps2 but I can never get it to run! I guess it’s a common problem with those discs that have the blue bottom side.
