    This video was amazing and inspiring for me. I mainly do ornate metalwork and tool making but just picked up airbrushing to compliment some of my designs.
    You make it look so effortless that I am not intimidated to give this a go. Thank you for sharing your skills.

    This video is very informative. I just started air brushing and basically have no idea what to do, but I do know so far I'm not doing too bad, I do have spray paint experience. Airbrush is similar but different...edit: at the end when you added colour. Wow!!! Seriously wow that hair looks awesome.

      Mick, I have to say inspirational videos, don’t ever stop the narration it’s that that sets you apart. One issue I tried your “hair” yesterday, using a water based acrylic and can’t get it to erase? Used a plastic type paper we get in Aus, then tried doing over a white acrylic base with some clear? Do you use a specific type of eraser?

    • @mickeyracer
      @mickeyracer  5 лет назад +1

      Im using old typewriter erasers, or florette erasers, lyra do a blue one which works well, or try sand erasers, you may have to carve them a little to get the shape but they work ok. The pencil erasers are getting a little difficult to get these days. Also try the eraser nibs for the electric ones if you can get one to fit in a charcoal holderthey work well also, again search for sand erasers for electric erasers

    I am new to airbrushing, now does an eraser pencil work with acrylic paint on paper? Or is it for specific paints on certain backgrounds? Like.....water paint on metal or god knows what a real combo would be😊

    • @mickeyracer
      @mickeyracer  5 лет назад +1

      The surface need to be non absorbent. A good piece of sign board or di-bond panel is a great start point. A lot of the papers i use are synthetic so they are almost a plastic surface. This allows the paint yo sit on the surface rather than be absorbed in. Erasing is only possible when the paint is not absorbed, normal cards and paper wont work how you would expect them to

    Great video Mick. I watched your video on realistic fur, or most of it, so I tried it myself and used a tiny piece of scotch pad and got a great effect on some very straight black hair I was trying to brush. It's a fantastic trick.
    BTW what is that eraser pencil called?
    It must be abrasive to work, I tried a white drawing eraser and it made a mess. I couldn't find any abrasive eraser pencils at the store last time I looked so I was wondering what they are called or who makes them...

    • @mickeyracer
      @mickeyracer  5 лет назад +1
