😊😊 some people love chemicals or alcohol on a sat night to get there fixes, i just love watching dred fx for my buzz thankyou mate , yet again cracking vid bro well done 👍
Thanks mate 👍 glad you enjoyed it
Hi Rob, for me is very important to use destilled water not tap water because contain a lot of scale. Some times I use 70% destilled water, 30% alcohol of 70 grades, and few drops of liquid vaselin, it works perfectly
I really like these full length videos! The real time work and hearing your thoughts as you work I think are more informative to me. Not sure about what everyone else thinks? Keep up the great work!
That's great news thank you foe watching and the feedback much appreciated
I love this format. An indepth tutorial. Shows how much work goes into an artwork. Thanks!
Your welcome glad you liked it there's plenty more coming up on the channel it means alot to get
The feedback from you guys and support with the channel so thank you 👍
Excelente video rob
This pin-up is wonderful, but I doubt this is the ideal subject for a complete beginner (like me). I was much more comfortable to choose less precise and more forgiving references, like an African mask or a Balinese face of a monster... But thanks so much for this lesson!
One of your best tutorials Rob. Just shows what can be achieved without Gesso or erasers. You mention your art programme - what do you use? Can you give the link for the image?
And a Happy Easter bud.
Hi Cyril the art program is the one that came with my Samsung all I did was change the colour
Thanks Rob what about the link to the image.
Another great instructional video, I learned a lot watching you paint. The artwork is awesome! What size is the paper you painted on? Would you have been able to do the detail you demonstrated with your Takumi Eclipse?
@@louisliguore7199thank you 👍 the size of the paper was 350mm x 450 yes cold have done that with the takumi
I tried this ink recipe, but I got an awful lot of tip dry. I am just past total beginner, with and a Iwata Eclipse.
Tip dry will always happen it's one of those things us airbrushers have to deal with 🙄
No links?
Hi I think your videos are great but I do struggle when I can’t find the links to the images you use
Hey Dred. I'm going to the prestigious Dru Blair School of Realism in Sept through Oct in South Carolina, USA. I got Dru's Custom Iwata Custom Micron too! It's a custom version of the Custom Micron. Don't know if you ever heard of Dru Blair but he's the guy that actually worked with Createx to develop the Illustration Colors line.
Hi I know Dru Blair I did a course with him at sm designs with Simon murry years ago 👍a very good teacher you will love it
I took 6 classes from Dru going to the Mucha class in October
awesome work Rob! I love monochrome portraits like this. Keep up the great work
Thank you 👍
could you show how to project the image please. love the content.
Yes I will do it in today's video for you not a problem
I love full length tutorials. Thank you Rob, you have mad skills.
Thank you glad you like the new style of videos plenty more coming up 👍thanks for the support with the channel really appreciate that
Brilliant artwork and tutorial! Thanks. Maybe try the 4011 reducer in place of the alcohol as it contains propylene glycol, which enhances the flow.
Omg that is one brilliant airbrush portrait, just wow 👌
Thats a lovely job .. simple and effective .. Marvellous ..
Thank you 👍
Nice work Rob, making it look easy :) I havent picked up my airbrush for a long time but im thinking about it. I have a pic to finish that has taken about 8 years too long lol
Thank you 👍 yes get back on the brush and finish your painting 🙂
Great video Rob. Looking forward to seeing the rest. You have unbelievable airbrush control
Fantastic Video! The knowledge you provide to your audience is second to none. I would have paid a lot of money to have had these videos when I started.
Your welcome I was in the same boat when I started 😩so if I can help in any way I will because the road is very long when your a beginner
FANTASTIC!!! Thoroughly enjoyed this real time tutorial. Informative and inspiring. Trying hard to learn to paint at such low psi with such thin paint. I’ll get there. This video is helping tremendously. Thank you brother 👍
Your welcome glad you enjoyed the video
Absolutely amazing piece of artwork. I would love to think I could get the same out of my Infinity..You may of heard this saying before, but when I once said to my art tutor. “It is difficult to know when a piece of work is completed” He replied. “My boy, art is never finished, merely abandoned!”
Great comment!
Well that started off my Sunday real good Seeing as I'm up an hour earlier it was great to see something worked in real time for a change. Nicely done mate 👌
Thank you mate 👍 got another one today
such a lost art man
Great instructional video, I learned a lot from watching you paint. The artwork is awesome! What size paper did you paint on? Could you have achieved the level of detail that you demonstrated in this painting with your Takumi Eclipse?

Well done showing aspects of free hand. Very detailed and easy for anyone to follow along.
Glad you liked it thank you for watching and the feedback much appreciated
very nice thumb UP
You can make stencils out of old x-ray films. They will last forever because they're made to hold up against chemicals.
Cool thanks for the tip 👍
@@dredfxcustompaint glad I can help. I use a wood burning tool to cut them. I've had my first set since my motorcycle accident a LONG time ago. One of the airbrush artists at the Jersey Shore shared the tip with me, now sharing it with you and everyone that watches your vids great vids btw
@@johnholmes6897 nice thank you for the tips 🙏

Awesome video, thank you! What are you using to project the image to do the initial line drawing?
Hi this is the projector that I used for the image

Hey Dred what is your mix ratio?
Hi in this video it was two drops of wicked 25 drops of isopropyl alcohol and 3 drops of water that was for the first pass then I added another
Drop of paint to the same mix to darken it up 👍
Dred, for me, you are the best airbrush teacher I have ever seen. You can explain so well that even a beginner will understand. Your videos are great to watch.
Thank you I do try to make it as simple as I can really appreciate your feedback and support with the channel it make it worth doing 😊
