I like the name King George, The wrecker is coming along great. I have a 4x4 F350 Utility bed, non dually with 460, 37" tires. Its a beast! King George has great potential.
That old square body Ford 1 ton did a lot better off road over these rocks than I expected. Looks like you guys were having fun playing around with your new old toy.
I put a 12 valve in mine. gets 17 to 18 unloaded and about 10 to 12 mpg loaded very heavy. Now on your 460. long tube headers, 4 inch single exhaust. Put a zip tie one the end of the throttle cable under the dash. these had slack from factory limiting power. On top of the engine there are you air intake hoses. Pull them off them of the plastic piece. You will see cone shaped restrictors on the plastic part the hoses slid over. hacksaw them off. Just leave enough to put the hoses back on. The injection these years are garbage. They were for epa only not for power or mpg. Price Motorsports makes an adapter for that intake to put a holley carb or large sniper type system on that intake. I put gm style ignition on them and just lose the stock injection. You gain about 15 to 20% more power. Noticeable. And you gain about 1 to 1.5 better mpg. The auto trans is killing the mpg. If you above sea level then run your timing higher. here at 6600 ft we run 42 degrees no issue and back down to 34 degrees when we go to Texas. Great truck. I do love mine with the cummins and 5 speed stick. You can also upgrade to d3ve heads to gain some serious power. the dove heads are just a touch to much compression and make the engine rattle with proper timing.
Fred did better than I expected descending towards that 4Runner. Once turned around, it wasn't surprising he couldn't climb back up the chute. However Fred looked to have climbed that grassy bit real easy. A great way to showcase what upgrades are necessary depending on the conditions a rig may encounter.
Watching this was like doing a double take! I saw Owens too. Owen sure is a popular guy. He has lots of friends to go wheelin' with. Now everyone is home safe. Thanks Robbie
Every truck has its own personality.. thus the reason we name them.. and you are only on ya 2 nd date😂.. give it time.. and you and Fred will find what each other needs. And you have friends in low places that can and will help🎉
It was great stopping in last Monday, got me a t-shirt and ball cap, the fellow in the lobby was great sorry I didn't get his name, Cody was great and said you had just went to lunch, he took me on a tour, met Hillbilly working on the Broncbuster, great kid, got a few pictures. ROBBY THANKS for your entertaining videos, when i come through next year i need a picture of Demri and her new 72 Bronco ❤
Glad to see a video this morning I was starting to suffer from Robby lag, I think when your done tweaking that wrecker it will be a beast because it does a pretty good job now
You should have showed this video starting the modifications on the wrecker. Looks like this recovery was the catalyst for all the modification we are witnessing on the wrecker. Keep The Good Work!
I told you when you got that truck ,you need to lift it ,big tires , 4 links , and gears and lockers. Then she'll be badass. Go look at BSF Recovery Teams tow truck. That's a square body but your truck could look like that. Good job and thanks for the video.
I knew a guy years back that would go the extra distance putting his vehicle in spots that it probably shouldn't be in...funny enough he had a body shop too 😂
The tire lift really impacts your departure angle. That is why Rory does not use his newest addition to his fleet on technical trails. Looking forward to the build series for King Fred. Thanks for sharing.
Never strap across the tire, always go around the circumference, or you could go through the wheel. You could see it started to roll the strap off when bearly moving with the hub locked in.
You have 2 blueprints driving around your area. Take the best of trail mater and Matt’s rig and make the ultimate rig. It will boost your channel significantly
Hell yeah Robby!!! I can't wait until this wrecker is finished my guy. It's so capable already really lol. Your in the hills with a fuggin regular tow truck 😅
Paul seems to be the only one using the rugged radios consistently on multiple people involved recoveries.... and he seems to have VERY successful jobs. Learn from your elders yo! Coms gotta be open to run things smooth! Good job getting it done!
I've been enjoying watching you guys building out King Fred. I saw something at the 7:45 minute mark that i think would almost make Matt, Rory, and Paul a little jealous... Your truck can get a "stiffy"! 😀
You are correct. Although my comment was ment as a "joke", I changed the verbage to correct for the timing of this particular video. My bad@@StrangerDanger69-dt7yf
Nice first recovery for Fred. A learning experience for you guys for sure. One safety tip, Please don't stand between the vehicles when directing a backing driver! If somewhat sketchy Fred had suddenly lurched backwards, it would have been a very bad day for Hillbilly. Stay safe guys, so we can continue to enjoy watching the ENTIRE team!.
Great job lads, some unconventional methods all together achieved the results needed, maybe Matt’s world’s largest wrecker has a upcoming competitor 🙈😉
hahaha Robby is my favorite. He likes rubbing it in Hillbilly's face. "Why'd it die?" Robby- "It's a Ford". Let's not forget about the LS he wants to put in Hillbilly's Broncstar.
What... It's called ad revenue for a reason, How are they going to keep making videos/content without ad's. Ad's pay the bills so they can keep making greater content for us to watch for FREE. I watch all the ad's I can while I am watching videos on Lubetube channel's.
Well the Ole Ford wrecker did pretty good i agree with Hillbilly the fuel pressure regulator diaphram is ruptured so the vacuum line is sucking raw fuel making it run rich great video Robby
ROBBY! You need to make a set of forks for the wheel lift so you're lifting the axle instead of the wheels (like big wreckers use). Then, you won't have issues with 4x4 trying to run the wrecker over. ;)
@Robby Layton ...small tip run your lines from the boom line under the Diff up to the chassis, it will compress the springs so you dont have to lift the boom so high. Lovin' your channel keep em coming👍
I noticed "Fred" came from Castle Rock, Colorado. Many years ago, my ex brother-in-law owned a Chevy dealership there for a while. I don't know exactly when that was (he's been un Phoenix area more recently), but maybe he had some experience with Fred on the job there. Nice town, Castle Rock... until the occasional winter blizzards roll in.
HEY PAUL COX!! Robby just said you need to come get his wrecker and install exhaust, lickers and gears, and bars. Another words he said fix it to do the job. And bill it to Matt
I like the name King George, The wrecker is coming along great. I have a 4x4 F350 Utility bed, non dually with 460, 37" tires. Its a beast! King George has great potential.
That wrecker is a diamond in the rough...good job recovering that vehicle...
KING FRED TOT HE RESCUE.
FAMILY OF KING FRED HOPE ROBBY IS MAKING YALL PROUD. : )
I like how you had your lightbar on for safety. 😂
Talk to Eric and Rory about getting the leaf springs to work right, they both have leaf springs in front and still have articulation.
Yeppers you guys need to do a little more work to the tow truck 😊. Great recovery 😜. You got them out. Thanks 👍 for sharing 🙂.
Looks like you need some Matt Straps for the wheels.
It's interesting...all you Chevy guys (Chad, you, Rory, Matt, Eric) have some ford stuff going on...don't fight it, you'll learn to love them
Big Red Fred to the rescue.
That old square body Ford 1 ton did a lot better off road over these rocks than I expected. Looks like you guys were having fun playing around with your new old toy.
The way King Fred shakes, rattles, and rolls, you should name him...ELVIS!
Wrecker bed Fred to the rescue! Great recovery fellas and boss lady keep up the wonderful content 👏
That's very good! Good! Name 😅 Wrecker Fred
For short!

All learning curves, but with a twist of positivity and lightheartedness. 😁

Yes for sure I enjoy testing and making things more capable!!
Watching this was like doing a double take! I saw Owens too.
Owen sure is a popular guy. He has lots of friends to go wheelin' with. Now everyone is home safe.
Thanks Robbie
Wrecker worked great. You guys have to learn also, what it can and cannot do.
Every truck has its own personality.. thus the reason we name them.. and you are only on ya 2 nd date😂.. give it time.. and you and Fred will find what each other needs. And you have friends in low places that can and will help🎉

All you guys from Utah are amazing!
" I have no liability if it snaps ". Robby , you are a smart man, nice butt save. well done.
That old girl done well first recovery and still loads of work to be done on her keep up the good work boys 👍
Old truck did well, Robbie made it look a lot harder than it had to be, but he's learning. Nice one guys.
Glad to see a video this morning I was starting to suffer from Robby lag, I think when your done tweaking that wrecker it will be a beast because it does a pretty good job now
Hey Robby, it looks like you need a mobile stick welder on that wrecker!
From one owen to another, great video.
The old owner is in heaven screaming hell yeah!
You should have showed this video starting the modifications on the wrecker. Looks like this recovery was the catalyst for all the modification we are witnessing on the wrecker. Keep The Good Work!

Make the ford wrecker great again. It's awesome!
A successful recovery on the wrecker's first mission!! YEAH!!! Nice work guys!!
Awesome Recovery! Much needed fixes on the Wrecker!
I've had a hard week so far. Thank you for lightening my day for a while.
The wrecker is quite impressive.
Thank you it’s a total work in process
The tire lift really impacts your departure angle. That is why Rory does not use his newest addition to his fleet on technical trails. Looking forward to the build series for King Fred. Thanks for sharing.
I always liked Ben and Paul. I understand your situation completely. I will just have to watch both of you. I'm one of your new fans
lol... .... ... well lots of work needed. Will be fun to watch!!
Great recovery guys.....good job !!!.... I'll bet it's lots more fun doing recoverys than body work...excellent coverage by "Da Boss" !
Never strap across the tire, always go around the circumference, or you could go through the wheel. You could see it started to roll the strap off when bearly moving with the hub locked in.
Durby Roby Layton lightning paint job would looks sick af on the new wrecker 😊 or the cleanest wrecker on u tube lol the possibilities are endless!
Demeri is the smartest one in the group!! She definitely needs to be the boss!!!
She already is the boss
This is just fun to watch.
Thanks for the video. That wrecker did pretty well there.
Paul seems to be the only one using the rugged radios consistently on multiple people involved recoveries.... and he seems to have VERY successful jobs. Learn from your elders yo! Coms gotta be open to run things smooth! Good job getting it done!
The ole boss still looking good ! Great job. 👍🤘💪✌💛👌😁🏁
great job again.
I've been enjoying watching you guys building out King Fred.
I saw something at the 7:45 minute mark that i think would almost make Matt, Rory, and Paul a little jealous... Your truck can get a "stiffy"! 😀
The old wrecker did pretty good. Needs a lot more done to it. I know you will get it ready for the wrecker games.
Great job for it's first recovery! To bad those winches were not installed yet, lol. Thank you for sharing
Its an old video...He's already installed them in his last video
You are correct. Although my comment was ment as a "joke", I changed the verbage to correct for the timing of this particular video. My bad@@StrangerDanger69-dt7yf
@StrangerDanger69-dt7yf they would have been already if more time wasn't spent on their "roll cages" first.
@@RUclipsBinging They already are on. This video is old is what I'm saying. It wasn't released in order.
@@RUclipsBinging As in a couple videos ago, they had them installed. But, theyre not there in this video, nor is the front bumper trimmed.
Thanks for sharing 👍😀
Nice pull guys! I watched Owen flip it on his channel he did a great job too!
Onward and upward. She has the heart and soul to be an off road wrecker.
I thought the tires were changed out 🤪 Thanks Guys for sharing! Always nice seeing 21-yr-old Demri 😀
Think video sequences out of order. Look at front bumper. Hasn’t been cut yet.
Awesome video guys thanks for sharing ❤ sending Love to you and your beautiful family ❤ from Ireland.
Paul will sort out all your Wrecker problems Robby 😂
That truck hasn’t seen such action in +15 years
A different day brings a new challenge. And now you can improve the truck ! Thanks for sharing !

Nice job Boys and the Boss
Nice, ole Red is going to be a great setup.
I though for sure this was going to be the self deleting running boards video I've been waiting for😂
Don’t worry the passenger side self deleted haha it just didn’t get shown 😜
hahaha Robby is my favorite. He likes rubbing it in Hillbilly's face. "Why'd it die?" Robby- "It's a Ford". Let's not forget about the LS he wants to put in Hillbilly's Broncstar.
FINALLY.. A great video no ads!!
It's costs money to make videos🤷♂️

Fred is coming along!
Great video and great job with the recovering God bless from GA stay safe
Can’t wait to see the next
Well that’s no hell boy 😂😂…it’s a minty furd…🎉🎉🎉 cheers
Good job!
You'll have to go do this hill again with the new shoes on and lockers in.
That 4runner is pretty sweet. Lesson learnt, don’t go wheeling when you know you have issues with your brakes. The wrecker is going to be badass.
Well the Ole Ford wrecker did pretty good i agree with Hillbilly the fuel pressure regulator diaphram is ruptured so the vacuum line is sucking raw fuel making it run rich great video Robby
That was a good test run for the wrecker! Now you know what kind of mods you need!
ROBBY! You need to make a set of forks for the wheel lift so you're lifting the axle instead of the wheels (like big wreckers use). Then, you won't have issues with 4x4 trying to run the wrecker over. ;)
Thanks for making
I’m here for more F-rattle traped. Keep building!
Using and designing. Learning about limits and capabilities.
Way to go Wrecker Robby
Robby Layton;.... to boldly gone where no Wrecker has gone before...!
@Robby Layton ...small tip run your lines from the boom line under the Diff up to the chassis, it will compress the springs so you dont have to lift the boom so high. Lovin' your channel keep em coming👍
came from the donut channel, love your video so far!!
The boss is the smartest person on that hill.
Great job thanks 😊

Good job guys 😊
Great video Robby
Amazing job. Wrecker huge but small leg. Somehow , maybe its a high time to put a huge mags and tyre for that amazing interceptor wrecker. Cheers
Fred is work in progress 😊
HEY PAUL COX!! Robby just said you need to come get his wrecker and install exhaust, lickers and gears, and bars. Another words he said fix it to do the job. And bill it to Matt
Love it can’t wait to see where your channel is going to be in a few years you won’t even know who’s running the body shop lol love the content
I think bsf recovery can help with wrecker ideas Robby!
Good thing you have a Ford
WHAT A CHORE will be interesting to see another video when you get all the added necessary improvements
But a fun chore :)
Awesome
“King Fred of rattletrap”
