This is probably the best pilot I have ever seen on tv. Well written. Well acted. I'm so engaged in this world and mythology. This tied with Game of Thrones and Stranger Things as best tv pilots. I was so shocked to see Ed Harris and Anthony Hopkins in it. :)
It believe it was a pilot episode. One actor/actress was talking about filming the pilot a lot earlier than the other episodes. They probably revisited it thought. And the episode is not called "pilot" directly like in many other series.
Gandhi Always Leaves an Onion well maybe that is his opinion jackass. I also liked stranger things pilot so what makes you better? I can’t stand people like you
Fuck yeha Aaron, you catched the auto-piano modern pop songs, i LOVE that, i thought nobody would catch that except Eric, but Aaron did it. You guys rock and i love you so much, much love from Chile.
Literally the best reaction view and analysis I've seen, and I've watched almost all of them. you guys have things locked down since episode 1! I'm impressed!
Just started watching it because of your reactions to it, and god damn am I glad I did. There was SO MUCH in that pilot, it felt like it lasted forever! But in a good way... Erh... Yeah. And that performance by Dolores' father. That was absolutely incredible. Literally made me giddish at the prospects of the show! Was just sitting here staring intently at the screen with a huge grin on my face while silently clapping. Been a heck of a long time since a show made me this excited to continue watching it.
Awesome I was really hoping you guys were going to do Westworld. Just finished episode 4 and I have to say it's definitely one of the best shows I've seen.
I have just started S3 so I decided to watch you guys for this one. You guys should REALLY consider watching DARK on Netflix. It's incredible and right up your street.
I'm soooo glad you guys are doing this show, I've watched the last 4 episodes and there is so much I would like to hear you discuss about this show, it's THE most complicated show I have ever watched. Great job with this reaction, keep it up❤️
This was possibly the most well crafted first episode of a series I have seen in my life. Had me hooked immediately. Sucks they scrapped the last season and never released it.
Its time for this great show for me from blindwave's eyes. Just finished seaaon 2 couldnt hold any longer to get to your reactions holding off till now so as to avoid any outside theory in my viewing experience. Will finish season 3 alongwith the reactions. You guys are great. The way epic becomes so serious and in sync with this episodes' last 10 minutes. Treat to watch.
Thank yuo crew for picking this up! It's awesome so far. One of the reasons why I love you guys so much is because of your in depth discussions after watching something so that makes me even more excited that you've picked this up! :)
I am soooo excited about this!!! This show may not be at the top of my show list yet, but it's so good and the questions it leaves hanging along with y'alls critical analysis will make this so much fun to watch!!! The impatient part of me wants to watch the other reactions already!! especially since certain question have been kinda answered already!! !!!!YAY!!!!
Yes! So glad you decided to react and review this series! I really love it so far. It's not for everyone but it's definitely for me and at least one of you will probably enjoy it.
Fun fact, this is actually a continuation of the westworld movie made 30 years ago, that's why they say they haven't had an incident in over 30 years because everything went to shit in the original movie 30 years ago in the show timeline
The show is actually showing us two different timelines 30 years apart. The critical failure is something Dolores is going to cause (as she's being led by Arnold into some sort of sabotage). The blonde guy on the work trip who's with her, William, is going to stop her, because he is also the Man in Black- Who says he's been coming here for 30 years (so his first year here was the year the incident occurred.) We know we're seeing different timelines due to episode 5- because Lawrence was killed by the MiB and then immediately reappears to WIlliam and co. William has now encountered all of the characters the MiB seems to have recognised. MiB says something about how Lawrence is the only one who'll talk back to him, but hints that that wasn't the case, and in this most recent episode, William seems to be going down a darker route. To be fair though, before Episode 5 what you said /could/ have been true. However, if you've seen the movie you'll know that the 'incident' from the original movie was that the robots went bad and killed literally every single guest apart from the protagonist of the movie. I don't think the park would still be open if that had happened..
I don't know, if you guys caught it, but the composer of the music in Westworld is the same, who does the music in Game of Thrones: Ramin Djawadi! I thought it was interesting, because the title music remind me of the music in season 7 episode 10...
I JUST started watching westworld and binged the first 3 episodes. Came to youtube to see reactions and I almost yelled when you guys popped up 😂 I didn’t know y’all did reactions to this show!! This will definitely tide me over waiting for umbrella academy s2 reactions 🤧
This is content rich. You guys in unison pointed out things I've missed out on. Will definitely watch the rest of your Westworld reactions as a fan of your GoT and RWBY reactions~
Always funny to hear this compared to Jurassic Park/World, since Michael Crichton wrote and directed the original 1973 movie, which you guys should see! When you see Yul Brenner's character, you see why they did with Ed Harris. Alison, in the movie, there are also Roman World and Medieval World.
It was the very fact that they dressed Ed Harris just like Yul Brenner, which was itself a reference to the look of his character in The Magnificent Seven, that made those who know the original movie think he was a robot until the sudden reveal in that first episode.
RAPTUREArmy My point simply was that his look and the fact he is simply known, so far, as the man in black is an Easter Egg where the opposite turned out to be true.
The series feels similar to Jurassic Park because its based on a 1973 movie with the same name written and directed by Michael Crichton, who wrote the novel the Jurassic Park film is based on. Pretty much all of Crichton's sci-fi books deal with technology-related disasters brought about by human failings.
He looks almost exactly the same. Except he looks more like he stepped out of the Appalachian Mountains in the early 20th century, in the early reactions.
I'm literally shooting at my computer (to you guys really ) "WATCH EPISODE TWO !!!" the bullet thing is explained, but anyway i'm glad you decided to do it, you and the normies are my favorite group reaction channel, and both of you are now watching it !
The Itchy & Scratchy Land episode of the Simpson's was inspired by a combination of the original Westworld film and Jurassic Park, which are essentially the same film, but that's okay since they were both written by Michael Crichton. Also, did anybody else notice Black Hole Sun by Soundgarden playing on the piano in the saloon at around 36 minutes, or Paint it Black during the big robbery scene?
I just finished my westworld watch through and came here to watch you guys discussion mostly caus I desperately need to hear people comb through it all haha
This isn't the show that will replace Stranger Things. That show is still being decided on the crew's poll on their Patreon but really hyped that they;ve decided to pick this up anyway :)
Calvin's face at the fly swat. haha. Great reaction guys.
Time for Detective Calvin to shine!
This is probably the best pilot I have ever seen on tv. Well written. Well acted. I'm so engaged in this world and mythology. This tied with Game of Thrones and Stranger Things as best tv pilots. I was so shocked to see Ed Harris and Anthony Hopkins in it. :)
Lonely Traveler Was this a pilot though? Seems like HBO doesn't do pilots. A pilot is a first test episode to see if it's going to be picked up.
It believe it was a pilot episode. One actor/actress was talking about filming the pilot a lot earlier than the other episodes. They probably revisited it thought. And the episode is not called "pilot" directly like in many other series.
Stranger Things pilot is the cringiest shit, haha if you think that's on the same level as GOT and West World, wow
Gandhi Always Leaves an Onion well maybe that is his opinion jackass. I also liked stranger things pilot so what makes you better? I can’t stand people like you
@@gandhialwaysleavesanonion679 Get off your high horse. People have different opinions, or are you still a child that still can't realize that?
OMG thank you for doing this guys. The discussions will be great.
Michael Y 😱
Dababa have we met? I feel like I know you from somewhere and it involves a paddle, lol.
Michael Y omg Michael. 🏓🏓🏓🏓
lol
It will be!
Hey guys, glad you're watching this. FYI the music in this is composed by the same guy who composes the Game of Thrones music
and person of interest
Austin Gonder His name is Bear McCreary (hopefully I didn't mispell it).
It was ramin not bear
Austin Gonder He also did Prison Break main theme if I'm correct
Austin Gonder Ramin also did Person of Interest. Another amazing Jonathan Nolan series.
YES YES YES
Also from Jonathan Nolan who did Person of Interest...brother of Christopher
Daniel Karraa and the same production designer Nathan Crowley who worked almost all of Chris Nolans movies
Same composer from GoT and Pacific Rim.
I love that "paint it black" starts playing when hector arrives
it's so good
You magnificent bastards, you went and did it. Thank you.
I'd hesitate to call the personality of the Dadbot "evil", he was PISSED, with extremely good reason.
I think that guy from 2:53 is from TWD as well..the Negan's right hand man.
serpugyou yea, Simon
I love Calvin's face, ":O" after Dolores slaps the fly.
Guys the show is amazing so far!Keep the reactions coming!
Fuck yeha Aaron, you catched the auto-piano modern pop songs, i LOVE that, i thought nobody would catch that except Eric, but Aaron did it. You guys rock and i love you so much, much love from Chile.
Fantastic surprise, guys! I'm so glad you're doing this show.
Glad you guys decided to cover this show.
Ok
Literally the best reaction view and analysis I've seen, and I've watched almost all of them. you guys have things locked down since episode 1! I'm impressed!
I've seen S1 three times now and I'm excited to watch your reactions and predictions throughout!
Really glad to see you guys doing this. Detective Calvin's insight into this show should be quite interesting. :)
Just started watching it because of your reactions to it, and god damn am I glad I did. There was SO MUCH in that pilot, it felt like it lasted forever! But in a good way... Erh... Yeah.

YES WESTWORLD!!! This show was made for Blind Wave! Such a smart and insightful reaction! DONATE TO THEIR PATREON SO THEY CAN KEEP IT COMING PEOPLE!
I'm soooo glad you guys are doing this show, I've watched the last 4 episodes and there is so much I would like to hear you discuss about this show, it's THE most complicated show I have ever watched. Great job with this reaction, keep it up❤️
I knew this show would make yall think which makes for a great discussion from yall. Good shit guys!
This was possibly the most well crafted first episode of a series I have seen in my life. Had me hooked immediately.

just going back over the abernathy scene in this its soooo gooood
Anyone notice that one of piano music parts in the episode was Soundgarden - Black Hole Sun?
Incitatus and the other was Paint it Black by The Rolling Stones
Very few people seem to notice the modern music in the show.
AWESOME GUYS!!!
DTIII 😱
Baba! :)
HYPE!
Katie!!!!!!!
Dan! XD
My favorite thing about this show is the flood of theories that follow each episode. Great reaction, guys.
Glad you guys are reviewing WW. Stay tuned. The episodes just get better and better!
YES !!!!! HYPED AF
I thought you guys wouldn't be doing it because of your tight schedule ! BLINDWAVE FTW
Thank yuo crew for picking this up! It's awesome so far. One of the reasons why I love you guys so much is because of your in depth discussions after watching something so that makes me even more excited that you've picked this up! :)

Yes! So glad you decided to react and review this series! I really love it so far. It's not for everyone but it's definitely for me and at least one of you will probably enjoy it.
Watching you guys bring up all these great questions & really dissect the episode takes me back to my first time watching the episode too! So good!
Fun fact, this is actually a continuation of the westworld movie made 30 years ago, that's why they say they haven't had an incident in over 30 years because everything went to shit in the original movie 30 years ago in the show timeline
VanBogan it's not clear whether or not the show is a continuation of the movie but that would be pretty cool.
Not so- (don't read my next post unless you've seen episode 5)
The show is actually showing us two different timelines 30 years apart. The critical failure is something Dolores is going to cause (as she's being led by Arnold into some sort of sabotage). I don't know, if you guys caught it, but the composer of the music in Westworld is the same, who does the music in Game of Thrones: Ramin Djawadi! I thought it was interesting, because the title music remind me of the music in season 7 episode 10...

They do at like 34:30 ish

the intro music is so good
You picked a great series. So far, every episode is even better than the one before.
just restarted bingewatching ur reactions to the show ♥
ps: calvin fuck me
WHAAAAAAAAAT ? You're doing reactions on Westworld? How could I not know this ?! AWESOME
Here to watch these again!
So glad you guys decided to watch this show! :D
i love seeing baby calvin in the older reactions ♥
He looks almost exactly the same. Except he looks more like he stepped out of the Appalachian Mountains in the early 20th century, in the early reactions.
YAAASSSSSSSSS! EPISODE 2 AND 3 ARE FUCKING FIRE!
I'm literally shooting at my computer (to you guys really ) "WATCH EPISODE TWO !!!" the bullet thing is explained, but anyway i'm glad you decided to do it, you and the normies are my favorite group reaction channel, and both of you are now watching it !
"Very Jurassic World isn't it?"
Yea, about that, lol.
Crighton only does one story.
whoah westworld reaction! thank you for reacting to this

WHAT! Is this the new Sunday line up? I'm so excited for this!!! :) :) :)
This isn't the show that will replace Stranger Things. That show is still being decided on the crew's poll on their Patreon but really hyped that they;ve decided to pick this up anyway :)
Yes thank you so much for doing this
FINALLY!!! It's about time! Thanks for this!
I've been thinking of watching Westworld and this is the perfect reason to start now =)
What Eric was saying at 31:23 is basically the plot of Dollhouse
I love this! Do more please!!
Never clicked a video so fast!! So excited!!!!
great reaction :) looking forward for this series ...
This is a good show. So happy you guys are doing reactions.
Now that you guys have finished the series, it's time for me to watch it and watch these reactions!
You guys have to see the rest of the show, episode 4 is great the HYPE is real!!
There are several narratives, some daily and some weekly.
I think the entry fee was around 40000 dollar per day in the movie. So it should cover some repairs.
I don't know if anyone noticed that the music during the shootout outside the saloon was Painted Black by The Rolling Stones.
yay, finally you guys listened to us :D
this show is awesome
GRRM pitched the idea of a game of thrones world to the producers.
There was already a medieval world in the original film so they kind of had the idea before Martin?
4:16 Anthony Hopkins, yes!!! 20:57
