Nice trap I hope you get a full plant with only these kind of traps-you could sell it for a good price ;) But did you ever get plants full with special traps when you isolate a single trap and repot it? I think it's mostly not a genetic thing but environmental influences that alter the trap. So mostly not inheritable. But I hope you get a plant with these kind of traps, keep us updated :)
it might be possible to reproduce from tissue culturing, and might be the only way to soundly preserve the DNA causing the trap mutation.
Yes I’ll keep you posted. We will see what comes out. I’m uploading the other video I did with 2 traps on one leaf soon.
@@Ash-fd8ww yes I should try that next time.
The one where there;s two traps on one leaf seems really cool. Wonder why such a mutation didn't proliferate? Maybe two traps on one leaf has too much strain?
I’ve had the plant since spring 2020 and have divid and repotted every year. They get plenty of sunlight, but they are constantly catching flies and insects. More than I would expect. One trap almost looks like Dionaea 'Green Schuppenstiel'.
If you reproduce that mutation, you could name it!
That would be cool!
