So pretty! So nice to have a small harp to take when you want. I love my small harp to take places! Both harps are beautiful in their own way!

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤Clara likes the Mia best. But she likes the Stony End too. I have a special place in my heart for Harps in the key of C 😉… but both Harps are beautiful 😍

Thank you! I'm a Salvi girl too! But the gift of the Stoney End harps was amazing and I couldn't wait to share.

I had to smile at the first harp's name, as "Stoney End" is my favorite Barbra Streisand song. It was a tranquil comparison between the two harps. I confess that E flat is one of the keys I like best. Good luck in your new school year -- middle school I guess!

I will look up that song. I don't think I know it. The Eb harp is the one I've had since I was nine. It is well loved

What a beautiful blessing of a harp and such a sweet piece of music! I can't tell you which harp is my favorite since I like them both! The Stoney End will be great for traveling when you just want your harp with you but don't have room for the Salvi. Thanks for sharing. 😊👒🫖

yes! It will be easier to travel with. My teacher sent me a book of music for small harps just today so I'm really looking forward to learning those tunes.

Lovely piece and so beautifully played (as always!). I'd love to hear both harps playing the same piece in the same key :-) I'm a Stoney End fan (I have a single and a double SE Eve), but the Salvi definitely has more complexity to the tone imho. But they both sound lovely! PS Miriam, I've considered buying a Salvi Mia with the biocarbon strings - but I need a light tension on the strings/pull. How would you compare the tension on the Salvi vs. the Stoney End? Thank You! God Bless!

That’s a great idea…to make a video with both harps in the same key! Thanks for that suggestion. The Stoney End and Salvi Mia are really similar in tension….but I do think the Stoney End requires slightly more pull to get a clear sound. The Mia has a clear, quiet sound even when I hardly pull it. I don’t know if that helps or not..and it could be that I’m just more comfortable with my Mia. Have fun shopping for a new harp!

Lovely!! What strings do you have on your Salvi Mia? Biocarbon? Silkgut? Lever gut? Thanks so much.....love the sound you are getting out of your Mia!

@@MiriamsMusicRoom I play a pedal harp (L&H 23). However, I am considering getting a Mia. You have shown me that they have a great sound (and amazingly only 22 lb!). There is another youtube video that a woman from a harp shop in the Netherlands made showing 3 Mia harps (side by side). One has biocarbon strings, one Silk gut strings, and one lever gut strings. She does a great job showing the different sound of each Mia. I am also impressed with Salvi for making a harp that allows the harpist to choose to change the strings to attain a different sound, etc. Brilliant! Thank you for Miriam's Music Room.....it is a breath of kindness and sunshine!

That is so exciting to know! I hope you have a lot of fun shopping for your Mia! Please let me know what you decide and which strings you end up with. 🎶
