Well well well. An electric Truck. Lets hangout sometime.
Cybertruck or Canoo truck!? 😁
Hi jerry! 🙋
New Format incoming
this cant end well for the truck...
Will it scratch at level 5?
This guy really talked a lot about the truck without saying anything important. Battery size, speed, range and cost are pretty important. All I got from this is its highly customizable which sounds expensive.
I was thinking the same thing while watching
I don’t think he truly knows what it’s going to cost. 6 figures for sure.
@@ashtonmccants I don’t think a midsize two seat truck geared towards the workforce is going to start off at six figures.
@@Bairdjacob76 it’s not about the truck itself. It’s going to be about manufacturing costs and the battery. You can’t apply ICE logic to EVs. It won’t be a 40k car. It will be closer to the 6 figure mark. I’m expecting at least $80k+ for the baseline model. These guys aren’t Tesla, so they won’t be able to be extremely competitive with their pricing. Use Rivian as a benchmark. Their truck starts at $75k and they actually have orders and manufacturing in place.
@@ashtonmccants you don't buy it, you pay a monthly subscription and you are able to unsubscribe at almost anytime
I’ve been workin outta a truck for 30 years, I’d buy this in 2 seconds
So... you should have been working out of something else instead?
Ha ikr! This company has hit such a home run I will be heartbroken if they fail before I get mine. Got $100 deposits on both MPDV and the delivery, want the MPDV more, twice the storage and $1,450 cheaper! I can't imagine they'll forget to put at least a 2nd seat in it for workers with all the thought they've put into these...
Buy it
I love how they think about the resale of the vehicle
I’m not sure if this model falls under this same purchase model, but the Canoo Car is subscription based!
@@ekeze it is and isn’t. He implied many of times of second or third owner, which means it’ll fit for first owners, whether be individual or companies, but also they also care a out resale values.
@Anthony MM Chairman of company: "We care about resale value"
Some dude on the internet: "They don't care about resale value"
@se fi why don’t you list the gimmicky stuff
@Anthony MM Exactly. Resale value only matters if you own it. If the company owns it then it's not a resale value in the normal sense. It's just them leasing it again.
.
If the company makes the profit, from the 2nd and 3rd "owners", then caring about that secondary value is implicitly implied. Them acting like it's something it's not is a crock of shit.
Consumers: "How many LED strips will you put on the vehicle?"
Canoo: "Yes"
hahaha 😐
It's like an American Honda lol 😆
Did you ask Cadillac the same thing? That's basically all they've innovated in the last 5-10yrs.
Actual answer: Can oooooo
This is the perfect vehicle for the dads with 6 pockets cargo pants
6? newbies. more like 12
I'm that guy but without kids. Depending on range, this could be a great road trip vehicle with the ability to drop in a padded mattress to sleep on the road, go on multi day trips and transport gear for when you arrive.

It may just be me, but my first thought is “Finally a vehicle that will replace my Honda Element.” A place for everything and a space that can fit anything.
How is the Element? Does it fit a lot of things?
HAHAHA I for the longest couldn't get rid of the Element. Finally got a Tesla but it's nowhere near what the Element can do. Now this is exactly what I need in my life to replace the Element. Good to see another E owner on here LOL. My E was sold to my best friend for dirt and I still see it once in a while. Hope this pick up gets built soon!

The element is bigger inside than it is outside.
Finally replaced my 2005 element with a honda ridgeline. Had that element for 12 years and loved that car!

I can’t wait for Doug Demuro to review this. It’ll be a 2 hour long video for him to cover all of the quirks 😂
Doug: *winds up*.....THISSSS......
The first four-part Doug review. Episode one: Quirks episode two: features.... Etc lol
So basically it's an electric cab-over pick up truck. A mini electric Hino. I can dig it!
Lots of people lost allot of money with this company. Careful….
Forget how cool the video is! The design is ridiculously innovative!! Wow
Exactly. I want it!
To me it looks like a redesigned Vw Syncro pickup
How is any of this innovative? I work out of my truck all I see is sides so I can't have a tool box even if I did it doesn't seem like a normal toolbox would fit. I like the step but I don't really see how a latter rack is going to fit to use that step. I definitely don't need a luggage rack or my stuff would get stolen. As far as outlets go I buy a 40 dollar inverter and works to charge batteries that's all that is needed for most any tradesman, although it is nice to have them built in I would expect that from a EV. You didn't show us how to tie anything down that I am hauling even my dirt bike with that special bed. The sides look quite high to work off of. You didn't talk at all about towing capacity if it has built in hookups for a trailer ( hitch and lights). It's going to take quite a bit money to get a special made cover for the top of the bed. I am assuming that none of the tents or special kitchens shelving that fit inside or on top of bed or top of cab are going to fit. That's all going to have to be specially made. I don't see how to lift or bigger tires are going to fit so it might work great for me but my resale value is going to be horrible trying to find a buyer for it even harder because of the lack of customization options. And I didn't see the interior to comment on except it doesn't look like there is much leg room for a full size man to fit back there. You want to design this truck for specific people like you say but you obviously didn't find one that was honest or had enough experience needed to give you the information you should have gotten before designing this vehicle I say that because I would put it in the same catagory as a older honda ridgeline
@@edwardwhite8476 too long didn't read

@@mannyechaluce3814 Damn!! Didn't realize that was going to be the cost of this thing...
Yeah the amount and the frequency that it happened for that short period. But it does make sense to buy a la carte for vehicle accessories rather than buying by trim level, essentially letting you buy exactly what you need.
Very well thought out, hope to see these reach production. Love there being companies like this that do a full rethink of what a vehicle can be rather than just iterating on what already exists.
Wow this is perfect. I definitely could see myself owning this. It just hits every box of what I’m looking for in a vehicle.

Hi, Joe!
Yes, looks great!
@Ramen Lover yeah I have been looking at all the electric trucks coming out 🤗😃
I don't really know about this truck as far as the practical work purpose he's trying to sell.
This truck has 200 something miles of range, and he's trying to sell it to worksite bosses who do allot of driving (impractical), on top of that allot of these worksite bosses haul allot around in their trucks (more reduced range), and while this truck has outlets, its just going to reduce range more.
Its also a 2/3 seater, which again, is extremely impractical for a work truck or even a family truck, which is used interchangeably.
You're also selling this to old men who complain that new technology is hard enough to understand, and you want it to be their daily driver?
This is an example of; "This is cool in concept", but in practice, this is a consumer vehicle with great accessories. It will be sold to people who barely use them, but appreciate the features. The people who actually would use the features on a daily basis would be better off buying something else and probably will.
I'm not hating on the features, Its better to have something than nothing, but he's put ALLOT into making this look like a work truck when it won't be one.
Especially the appearance, its cool, BUT, no worksite boss is going to be caught driving something like this.
This truck would probably be best for people who like to camp/travel, especially the younger generation who don't mind the appearance, appreciate the utility/tech.
This is also an example of not knowing your demographic.
At-least Tesla realized that their truck will be bought by rich families in California and didn't brand it as a 'work truck'.
It's not well thought out as all, lmfao. No crash protection and follows no manufacturing regulations. Won't be legal to drive or own in pretty much any country.

It's a relief to see a "truck" that is actually unique looking, it's not bad looking, and has lots of features, but just too rounded in design for my liking. However good job designing it, I think it's great.
The new Hummer is my personal favourite, it's nice to see the competition heat up.
I Like the Truck, but more importantly - I LIKE THE STOCK!! $GOEV 🚀
which platform are there stocks in?
@@aarontaylor1040 any platform , it’s publicly traded company, buy and hold !!
Especially the low price $GOEV

I love how much this truck is like a Kei Truck.
Proven versitility. Want one, with four seats.
I want to work for Tony. What a leader, wow he sounds like a hell of an asset to this company.
Millionaire designer says “We make a living with our trucks. We do.” Hmm okie.
They might want to do some focus groups with people who actually drive trucks before they put too much money into this kazoo on wheels.
Bahahaha did you see how he looked at the camera when he said that. Ya major lie dude.
He makes a living with his trucks. he makes trucks and sells them and makes a living with his trucks.
Millionaires don’t come from nowhere. He could’ve done year of construction before his money. Not saying there isn’t the possibility of him being born of money but some millionaires were average people at one point. Think of Robert Downey jr
Millionaire? Wtf? He's a designer!
I saw your Evs and my mouth literally dropped…I went to my brokerage account and sold everything to buy completely into this company…I don’t go “wwwoooow!” Very often…just wow. I want one of each! Just wow!
Have a demo drive/demo road trip. Stock price will go through the roof.
Its not real until its being driven under its own power...ahem, Nikola...
@@danielgoodwiniowa this truck ysesy the same skateboard (all the moving parts that make it go) as their other models which you can see moving in its own power in the Jay Leno's Garage video featuring Canoo from 8 months ago. This isn't a Nikola scam.
Love this truck and just bought a little stock. I wish they could improve on the 200 mile range though. The direction they are taking is awesome with both the truck and the van.
Still holding out on stock until delivery confirmations come out. If all goes well, you my friend will be 💯
@@rcsc824sc8 he did say battery is designed to be upgraded and adapt..i bet you'll be able to just take it in and upgrade that shiz..SO COOOL
If the truck is not coming till 2023/24 200 miles is a joke. I hope this gets upgraded well before release. On the other side this truck is amazing. I’ve had dreams of getting a Ford Raptor for soo long but I could see myself settling in this.
This is coming from a longtime (since release, lol) stock holder.
@@dainsoulds9338 Tru Tru. Who knows solid state could be the norm in a couple years if there's a breakthrough
Steve - the Flexable design means the LACK of Space for a LARGER battery.
besides , TESLA has the MOST Advanced battery in the WORLD , the 4680 High Nickel cell and Structural Battery pack.
As a contractor I love this! I put a deposit on a cyber truck but it was mainly to show I will buy a electric truck . I don’t care who does it just bring it. This is far more versatile than the cyber truck.
It looks like the bed should be a hot tub, which strangely just makes me want it more.
lol yeah that would just be great
in your dreams
Speaking of water... it looks like it's a submersible. How long can it stay under water?
I’ve never heard “use case” so many times in a row.
Or... "here, to put my tools". How much tools does people have?
@@242Evangelion apparently the target audience is builders, electricians, plumbers and other tradesmen. You know, the people who love Uber masculine, muscular looking trucks.
having a well spoken charismatic team is extremely important
It's marketing speak bullshit
@@242Evangelion he means that service providers can use them as service vehicles. Which have a lot of tools on them.
4:36 I am very fascinated by the way Tony turns around. Don't mess with Tony.
Very cool! Question though... For family travel is there any way to have 2 rows of seats?
They do have 7 seats version. Love the design hope it survive to mass production
I've been trying to figure out if there is room enough for a seat in the back available space or if something folds down like older extended cab trucks
"A rear area accommodates two additional seats or can be configured for other uses."
Vehicles are becoming "gadgets" and I love that. We are tired of the same looking, same functionality, vehicles. Time for innovation!
Genius creature! CONGRATULATIONS, THAT'S SMART. FINALLY A USEFUL CAR FOR CASUAL LIFE.
He doesn't even have to talk. Let the car speak for itself.
as much as i like tesla, i love to see more BEV from other companies out there and the more the better.
I'm so happy vehicles are finally changing and looking futuristic.
Straight out of death stranding world ✨
No hood means no snow collecting on the windshield in the winter... Take my money now
No hood means no sales ... Truck drivers want truck that look like trucks not a half of minivan.
That's what bothers you, a little snow?
You don't have a vehicle with heated windshield where it snows?
I ain’t going to lie tht truck is dope especially if you work with your truck
I'm in, this is exactly what I want! Thanks for making this happen.😃👍 Kudos to Canoo!
7:06 It looks like the front is in the other direction.
I thought that several times.
Radical and provocative design with so much functional versatility and flexibility. Love it.
You guys will rock for sure just keep progressing
I really love the lights and interior.
It's a very nice design. I understand the emphasis on space, but I see an issue with the openness of the cabin. Too much space in a vehicle will always give a minivan feel- which was kinda my first reaction. Confinement, to an extent, gives coziness and comfort while driving. I mean, when have you ever seen a soccer mom who's not a nervous wreck? There's probably no correlation, but I think its caused by the driving experience given by minivans.
If you really want space, make a divider between the seats. The driver and passenger are butt to butt, at least put a divider on the ground to give some sort of clear division. Even if its not something big, make it so its easy to switch from seat to seat, but also the passenger and driver can't play footsie.
Plus, a more comfy feel would complement that nice steering wheel + dashboard combo.
My overall impression was actually "Model T vibes". Interpret it how you want, but I think its pretty innovative.
So overall v nice design.
They said “use case” a lot in this commercial
