Good luck Kevin. Cars at Manheim are the most expesive in the country! add in 800 dollar buy fees and C.R. that costs dealers 2-3 grand in reconditioning. Dont get involved as a 3rd party, you will loose alot of money.
What would you do if dealer mark up $3000 more than manufacture price ?

Kentucky is also another "washer" state and Vermont for a while had the "Vermont loophole" to title and register vehicles so watch out on cars from there or that have passed through there.
Be careful with vehicle history reports as they are not fool proof. If an accident was handled privately by the owner, it will not show up on Carfax or other history reports.

I sold cars for 10 years and I disagree with the asking for a credit app before the test drive. I qualified all of my clients when they arrived and if they told me their credit wasn’t that great, I would ask for a credit app. I asked for it to save the dealership and the client time. Why spend 30-45 minutes showing a car to someone that can’t afford it?

Kevin and Elizabeth, I’ve been noticing a trend of dealerships down here in south Florida charging “dealer advantage” or similar fees that I’ve seen range anywhere from $1,500-$3,500 that they hide in the fine print. How do you recommend dealing with these?

Thanks for this very informative video. The service you plan to provide is of great interest to me, though I am hoping not to be in the market to buy a car for at least another couple of years. That should give you all enough time to perfect the process, right?
I have a question about it, though -- How would the pre-purchase inspection process work with your buying service? (See? I was paying attention to your video!)
Great question. If you understand anything about Manheim, all cars come into the Auction, first thoroughly inspected, and then "Graded." A 4.6 to 5.0 car is near perfect. They have remaining factory warranty to boot. They aren't 100K mile cars. The newer a vehicle is, the less important a pre-purchase inspection is. Some will even still have their new car smell. For starters, both Elizabeth and I will be purchasing our cars this way. By the time we get a few years down the road, you will be able to read reviews from our viewers who used us to get them a car. I expect we'll have loads of 5-star reviews!
As most car buyers, we only want to buy cars at fair market price without being scammed by car dealers. If you Kelvin can help us achieve this with what you just said,(help us avoid being scammed) you will have many many online customers.

Got a 2023 Honda Civic Sport new for $27,000. Not bad these days. I seen used ones selling for more than that.
I planed on buying near the end of 2024 to get a better deal. Are Manheim prices effected by end of month or end of year fluctuations? Where would you pick up the car? How would the money transaction work? Where would you get the title for the car?
I know lots of questions and this sound like a FANTASTIC opportunity.
Mannheim is not really affected by end of month.

Who publishes this black book?
Definitely NOT NADA. Their book is garbage published to help car dealers lowball their customers on trade. Black Book is published by National Auto Research, a division of Hearst Business Media Corporation. The book is circulation controlled, restricted to dealers and financing sources. We are so involved in the car business, we passed the litmus test to be granted access to it too.
I imagine this doesn't include paid off trade in. Probably would have to sell prior to inquire about purchase.
You could always sell your trade to CarMax beforehand.

At my local dealer in California I saw a 30$ electronic filing fee LoL.
Some are charging up to $600. in Florida.
I am trying now to bust out of my four leases two of them have two years both left my GM's & other two 18 months left my Honda's. If you are interested in them Kevin let me know or I will just crash all of them let the GAP pay it off. Values of them just keep changing & we just bankrupt the business we used them for as the economy crashing but leases are in my & wife name so not sure what route we are going to take. I know some states values are different so maybe option here. GM & Honda will not take them back yet to early & we got 3 weeks & 4 weeks left on next lease payments to decide. -Cheers
