Im scard for life from when the took the packing out of my nose after. Lost tons of blood after they took it out. I never got any cleanings. I have to always pick out all the crust in my nose to not get bad swelling again.

2009 In Manhattan. There Doctor was a rookie even though his practice is the largest in New York and one of the most well respected. They kept me over night at the hospital because my heart rate was higher than normal when I woke up from anesthesia. Then the next day the dr. did not come to remove the packing an intern doctor did it and he said he never had to do this before. He took it out and wham it was a blood faucet and he had no idea what to do. He soaked wood long cue tips in some liquid he thought may clot the blood and it didn't work so he put stuffer 30+ cut tips up my nose until the pressure would stop. It didn't completely stop dripping blood so he said he wanted to repackage it. It told him he'll no and just told him to put more cue tips until it stopped.

getting my first surgery soon as it is the cause of my infections coming back really quick after antibiotics. excessive polyps. I don't get sinus pain or headaches though but it does affect my sleep as I can't really breath through my nose

Think twice. Sinus surgery destroyed my life. I spend every single day wondering if I'm going to end up blowing my head off. I have nerve pain in my face now and also Empty Nose Syndrome. The doctors do not tell the patients about this possibility before the surgery. Most people do not get ENS, but the point is it should be up to the PATIENT to decide if the surgery is worth the risk--not the doctor.
