- This isn't about fountain pens. This is just an update about what I've been doing as well as the "exciting" weather headed my way.
Also, if there is no PiU tomorrow, that's because the storm was a little too exciting! - Развлечения
You radiate positive energy, I admire you!
Thank you! I think it's important to share happiness, so I try, even when I'm not feeling it.
Decluttering is good for the soul. It's a kind of cleansing process for your house. You also hinted toward the fact that it feels as though the house is now more spacious. Decluttering can have its problems of course. Sometimes you discover long lost possessions and now have the tough decision about whether to keep them or not. However, it can open up great opportunities for better organisation and storage of the things you decide to keep. I wish you well with this project and hope the storm wasn't too bad!
The organization is improving. I reworked my kitchen today. That's going to be the next task, and probably with some more decluttering. My goal is that everything has a home.
Decluttering is an ongoing chore for me. Good luck, seems it never ends. Hope you fare the storm well, be safe.
The storm wasn't much. I'm hoping to do better with decluttering in the future by keeping track of the major gateway: my own purchases.
Hope you & the other neighborhood squirrels are safe through the storm. 🌩️🐿️🌩️ Your bookshelf in the background looks nice & tidy.
The bookshelf got a declutter! More coming for it.
Thanks for inspiring me to go smaller!!!
You're welcome! It's a good feeling.
I immediately thought of your garden; if you get hail. At least you don't have a corn crop! Hopes for the storm to pass you by.
There were interesting clouds and hard rain for a short time. Got off easy!
Good luck! I hope you safely ride out the storm!!!
I always seem to get deeply into decluttering and organizing in the summer too!! I'm always shocked at the accumulation too! I'm working on kitchen stuff and started a box of donations. :)
Summer is the best time for me for obvious reasons. I'm feeling really good about progress. Now it's more detail and small parts of rooms. Most important, getting a home for everything!
It does feel good to declutter
So happy with that!
Dear Mr Waski...I do hope that you and all around you keep safe during the storm. I too have been decluttering slowly since about March this year-its very cleansing and has made me feel much lighter too. I was wandering if you perhaps could do with a writing desk, a Bureau or Davenport. I have 2 vintage Bureaus and an antique Davenport and they are not only beautiful to look at but very functional- just an idea. Keep safe ....Sweet Blessings Mand XOXO
The storm turned out not to be much.
Yes, the decluttering is a great feeling. I don't know where I'd put any furniture. I do have a nice writing desk that folds down from the wall!
Love that t-shirt! 😂
Thank you!
I don't know if Dakota gets snow but I would love to see a video of you writing out in the snow one day.
We do indeed get snow! Our snow is usually accompanied by a driving wind and bitter cold. A few years ago I filmed in an unheated rural church and I struggled to feel my fingers by the end. It was visible in my handwariting!
But I'll see what I can do. I want to work more winter into the channel.
Not discarded or given away my son’s single toy (he’s 15 now), not disposed a single pen box or a watch box, have some 20 jackets lying around in my room (I live in a tropical country !), crockery unit is overflowing with all those yet to be used coffee mugs and so on…
Someone else also needs serious declutterring !
It is rewarding when it's done. My house isn't very big, but it feels so much larger now.
My house was in a hail storm about 20 years ago. It sounded like 1001 elves with hammers banging on the roof.
Wishing you well in the storm. May it do your garden much good and your house no harm!
The storm turned out to be a disappointment. But I can do without the damage!
It sure does feel wonderful, when you're decluttered and organized. Btw, have you heard of Swedish Death Cleaning?
It really does feel good. I feel it daily when I cook but it's also there in all the little things as I interact with my various rooms. I'm calling it "Swedish Retirement Cleaning" for now.
Where’s the lava lamp?
It had too many problems.
