  • On Tuesday February 6th, a cold front affected Jamaica and although it brought some rain, the major impact was the wind that caused very rough seas. It was a freak storm that came out of nowhere.
The northern coastline was affected and there was damage to property, beaches, road etc.
I take you on a trip around Montego Bay to see the damage up close and marvel at the power of nature.

Why would the Creator of our being/most high hurt us to live in fear and cause us pain. It is time to wake up and think for ourselves. I've learned over the years that you must respect water especially fast moving bodies of water. Even in still water you can drown but a moving torrent of water is a different beast. Water is dense and anything I mean anything that floats no matter how large is going to get pounded, lifted and carried away. Concreate walls, cars, trucks, houses, you'll scratch your head when you see what water moves. I don't understand why people build close to the shore, it's just plain stupid.

    • @YohanPartap

We were on vacation when that happened Ocean Front at IHG Sunspree. 2 cruise ships anchored off shore that night as we could see the ships lights in the distance. The palm trees and ocean was blowing in the other direction. The waves were about 12-14 ft at times. I was waiting for a wall breach but thankfully only small splashes now and then it didn’t breach the wall. The next day a couple lounge chairs floated by a lot of seaweed and debris from the ocean. Sand took over the walkways along the resort from the shore but there was little damage. It was quite the thing to experience on a vacation!
