Mam..try adding methi first in oil & then potato after methi fry in oil.bcz methi will leave bitterness well when fried first in oil.let me know after trying once.
@@thatspp4503 curry may be slight bitter if methi added later. Even for moong dal,we add palak first in oil (even if it can be cooked fast & soft first) & next the soaked moong dal.

Mam.. I have been watching your videos recently. It's good to see you do gardening and making all the healthy food. Please use rock salt for cooking, mam. You can also sun dry for 15 minutes, make powder of it( keeps sticking to jar, please remove with spoon in btw and run mixy again), and sieve it for FINE powder. This way, rock salt can be used in fry items and final adjustments in dishes, curd rice, chutneys.. HOPE you make a new video on how good and better rock salt(kallu uppu) is than normal salt available in the market. Thank you.

I can stand any oil..but not the smell of mustard oil.. no matter how much you cook...the strong oil smell will take the natural smell of any veggies...curries or non veg items.
Mam when u cook with mustard oil 1st u need to over heat the oil like smoke should cum out from the oil then u put other ingredients so that when u eat u ll not feel the smell of oil... here u dint heat the oil properly I'm sure u might had a smell on ur vegetables

Potatoes first is correct because methi cooks very fast. Potatoes take longer time to cook.
